    It would be cool and helpful to see the safety features in action or have them be addressed more!

      @@bayoubackroads9348 thank you! The main deciding factors for me is the safety features. Do they come with the car or do you have to purchase a package to get them included? Do they work properly? What would the lane assist do if you come across a road that was repainted in a different direction causing there to be faint lines in the wrong spot? Which lines would the car follow? So many questions but no answers anywhere!

    • @bayoubackroads9348
      @bayoubackroads9348 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      For most cars safety options are extras and come in a safely bundled package and usually add another 1,500-2,000 to the price depending on manufacturer, and their are usually different tiers as well. As far as the Malibu goes, it follows lines perfectly. If there's construction and a lane shift where they have faded lines and new lines, it will follow the new ones in every experience I've had, but it will also just turn the lane assist off if there is too much confusion in the lines. I will do my best top include more information like that in the future, but some things you just have to feel out over time when using the vehicle

    I just got one with 19k miles my only complaint is the gas mileage doesn't seem very good what's your take on the gas mileage on this car?

    • @bayoubackroads9348
      @bayoubackroads9348 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Around town it gets less than rated. Typically around 27 at the lowest if you're doing purely city driving. On the interstate on road trips I've gotten on the edge of 40 mpg.

    I have a 2017 and it has the CVT transmission, I have read a lot of bad things about it Should I be consernd about it. ?!?

    • @bayoubackroads9348
      @bayoubackroads9348 ปีที่แล้ว

      This one is an early 2017 and still has the 6 speed automatic, it’s a fairly slow shift but doesn’t give me any trouble. I have not driven the ones with a CVT but I also don’t hear anything bad about them. I personally don’t enjoy most CVTs from an enthusiasts point of view because it makes the driving experience feel more numb
