Another lovely video Richard! It's great to get other presenters along with you that have local knowledge. Speaking of knowledge...a "Fishplate" is the flat bars of steel that are used to join lengths of railway line , one on each side of the rail and bolted together. The plate that the rail sits on is called a "Chair plate" or rail chair or base plate...depends on where you are !! Once again thanks for a cracking video ...oh and how do you like the Zoom F1 recorder..?? thinking of a new toy..LOL Cheers Gregg.
Thanks Gregg. I do generally love the F1 Zoom, although recently broke the connector socket leaving the jack in there while moving my bicycle rending the unit useless and had to buy another. I would rather have XLR connectors that domestic mini jacks, but you can't have everything.
@@RichardVobes Well , would you believe I have a Zoom H5 with the X-Y stereo head, which I plug my Rode lav' mic into, but I'm looking for something smaller as the H5 is a bit big to hang off your belt. It does have 2 XLR's but is overkill for one mic? I do like the look of the F1 and you get a good Lav mic with it as well .....more choices...LOL Thanks for the reply Sir. Cheers Gregg.
Another nice video. That red stone is used a lot in buildings in that area. A number of old Castles and Abbey's used it. It does get eroded by the weather over time though.
Well Richard back in Gods country with Robert great. I’m especially interested in the old mine railway as my house backs on to a old coal mine railway and I found some old evidence in my garden when I first moved in.

I quite expected you to meet up with some orcs and a balrog,in those mines of Moria like caves! If someone comes and cuts that Banksy away,we will know they heard about it on your vlog,or not!?!
Well we have had Julia and Richard , Dave and Richard, Mark and Richard and many others . We have now another great duo Robert and Richard. Loved the caves and the colour and texture. The river was great too. Look forward to the next one.

hi, again, Robert!!! i am really terrible with names. having been part of PC HelpDesk for close to 20 years and training for the last 10 years at work, it seems almost everyone there knows me by name, i get greeted in the hallways and cafe; and i always say "hi" but never dare try guessing their names!!! so don't feel too bad, Richard!
Interesting to see this area again as I haven’t been there since the mine closed. Just a shame you took someone along who really didn’t have a clue what he was talking about. Lots of inaccuracies in the commentary but visually very interesting.

They use similar quarried red sandstone in Shropshire area too. It's lovely to see, but as you say, weathers badly.
