What I love about this scene is it shows Akk being himself, without the pressures of being the Head Prefect. He gets to show his real personality to Aye. He seemed nervous to kiss Aye, but as soon as he knew they were out of eyeshot, he leaned in, and even brought his hand up to Aye’s face to hold him closer. Big change from Aye having to grab Akk’s hands up to hold him. When he knows that he’s truly alone with Aye, he lets his walls come down, and it’s absolutely beautiful.

That kissing scene in the pool was so beautiful. This is what i like with series that doesn't have many kissing scenes. They build-up the emotions first, then, boom ! The feeling is so warm and beautiful when they do it because they make the audience wait and feel the longing for that physical touch. The way they look at each other is so expressive. I feel like the characters have many things to say but they choose not to say it (especially Akk), and the way they look at each other tells us that. Plus the cinematography of this series is ❤.

I've watched this moment several times and I still get butterflies. The evolution of these characters and the effect they've had on one another is just so beautifully executed. First and Khaotung are incredibly well matched with their comfortability, trust, and vulnerability as both friends and scene partners. Episode 9 was a balm of sweet moments and beautiful character growth and I'm so ready for more!
