Easter is the day every year that people around the world celebrate the moment that Jesus changed everything. It’s a beautiful celebration as it marks the end of our desperation. We all know what it is like to be desperate for something, whether that is money, attention, food, a job, a degree, a date, or a breakthrough in our struggle, and the truth is that is a part of the human experience that Jesus described. The ultimate truth is that we find everything we will ever need in reality; the tomb of Jesus is empty because He is alive and is inviting us to sit at His table of communion for all of eternity.
In our world today, we are desperate for mercy, justice, and love, three things the world can’t manufacture perfectly because there is only one true source of these essential pieces of a healthy and hope-filled existence. As we learn to celebrate Easter every day, we find that celebrating the life of Jesus is the means through which we experience the life He died to give.
We are in a series called the “The Good News is Good,” exploring the gospel of Mark! Our desire through this series is to see more clearly and reflect more accurately the glory of God that is revealed in Jesus! All of this is in an effort to help us become a devoted and winsome generation that truly believes and shows the world that Jesus Changes Everything!
