I own an EVS myself and I LOVE IT. Feels very comfortable, lens is easily replaceable, voice echo isn't too bad, looks fucking rad, very roomy, and vision is so good and wide you can see your future.

Love how blunt u r man. The mask is actually annoying, it echoes too much. Too many flaws for a high "premium" mask. Foam is overkill. Profiler and e-flex all day, every day. I say! Let's get more subs for this guy. He's the man!
Pretty cool to see a coverage comparison with other masks. Also, the ascends were so comfortable, but the foam cutout didn't fit against my nose and they fogged up a lot so I had to get rid of them 🙁
I have a high end music studio and an sound engineering diploma. My rating in term of Sound Quality goes as: _Dye I5 _Vio Ascend _Vforce Grillz _Empire EVS The dye is definitely clear and crisp when the other googles mask important frequencies which make words less understandable. A plus with the I5 is the smaller Width, less exposure is godly !!
niklaus !!!!! No way I have a small head being a 5’6 snake player and I use a vio contour even though I won an evs after winning an event because the evs was too big
@@lucky3rd I recently switched to the dye I 5s .. great mask . So far , my favorite. But I'll admit , the evs is by far the best view you can get from a mask . But the dye I 5s , worked best for me .

Good review, but what's it like when trying to sight a rifle? It seems to be something that most people miss if it pushes your false away from scope it's not much good.

I had the same problem and the KLR was the solution, my glasses never fogged, they fitted perfectly and almost didn't even feel them during the entire day. Con: If you have a big head like me you would look ridiculous in photos
Does anyone else have trouble with the tabs on the EVS lenses breaking? Every lens I have has at least the lower tab broken off. Love the mask and field of view, but can't understand why the tabs keep breaking. I called Empire, they said no one else has complained about tabs breaking, REALLY???
As far as FOV goes the EVS still is the absolute king, but there are some really good masks out there besides that one such as the Dye I5, JT Proflex, Carbon Zero (from my impressions of it), and the Virtue Vio.
Awesome vid! Since you it seems like you have every mask ever made can you rank them. I was torn between EVS, I5 or Vio Extend and if you want to throw in a top favorite of yours go ahead. I need all the help i can get lol
I own 12 different mask's play all the time have 2 brand new lens's for the evs but hate using the mask too much sound echo and it fog's up... I always want to use the VF Grill right now never have a problem with it..... I think I'm going to buy the new Push Unite Paintball Masks built by Push Unite
This mask has waaayyyyy to much echo for on the field play it gets very annoying and it also fog's up for the price point it's not worth it. Right now only thing it has going for it is that it looks cool and a big lens...

When you take it out of the box do you peel the film off of the outside of the lens? It seemed stiffer when I tried and I don’t want to ruin them

That's probably the most common complaint for the Virtue masks. I think they made the bridge of the foam a bit high.

Im with ya, I have never really noticed or cared much about the echo in masks when playing. Some people really complain about it though

Also breathability is straight up bad I always feel winded playing in my evs. Probably switching back to the trusty proflex.

@@justalpha9138 the new carbon masks have a fan attachment so I would go with them. The fan will keep you glasses from fogging.

Yes you can but you can’t really use sights unless you get a rail riser

those vforce masks look like standard rental masks. I cant see myself spending money on that compared to the others.

It’s because the Evs has an ear guard. That’s why it sounds weird. Remove it and there’s no echo/voiceover
