Easily my favorite quake player and most down to earth competitive professional out there. I love the keyboard part, no need to spend shitload of money for mechanical one as long as it is comfortable. I would love to see av3k playing some old-school showdown with CRTs and ball boomslang mice 😊
A very strange review of settings from a player who is not at all pretentious to devices and settings. It looks like Avek is so tough that he can play on any shitty device, on default settings, but still wins... Respect! )))
@@EndpointQuake Highlighted comment, wow that doesn't happen to me too often. But since I suggested it, here's my own setup. Just for reference, I started playing Q2, then Action Q2, then Half-Life DM, then Quake 3. Movement: EDSF, jump on space, duck on A. Weapons: all spread around my left fingers. I used them all: Q, W, R, T, G, V, C, X, Z, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and depending on the game, any other keys I needed to add. I don't have the largest hands, so trying to reach keys using WASD always caused cramps in my left hand. Once someone convinced me to switch to EDSF, it felt like the entire keyboard was then opened up to me. The funniest part is that as a side hobby I play bass, which requires some long finger stretching. Personally, switching to EDSF as my base movment keys allowed me to really utilize as much of my keyboard as possible while at the same time allowing me to do so without causing cramps and other physical issues. And before anyone says anything, yes I was very close to developing a bad case of carpal tunnel syndrome before changing my setup.
Maciej, u said, all video settings is low, but "visual effects: high" bring opponent model shadow, looks like useful, for example, on Ruins, u on Heavy position, opponent dropping down and u can see shadow on the stairs before actual enemy model appear. Comment plix, if it's doesn't have any sense?
With all the settings possibilities you had in quake 3/quake live it is a shame what Quake Champions did. Any Quake veteran feels horrible seeing the massive lack of setting up a personal config in quake champions.
@@warmupz unfortunately not open to the public at the moment, its a bootcamp space just for private bootcamps for pro teams/players to rent out (and Endpoint pros to make use of! :) )
haha otally shit setup :) mouse - there are better mouse nowadays, EC2A is too old, too bad in general. mosuerpad - too. hyperX - not bad, but soundstage is not great.
Man, I remember this guy back in 2006/2007: Pizza Box tactics. What a legend.

Av3k 2 stronk
I love his attitude hahah, it's like he's annoyed you actually asked, what a legend
Personally I believe the keybindings that some of the pros use is more interesting than video settings.
Next video sorted!

Thx Av3k good job
Thank you for watching!

What i was interested in, is his keybindings but he doesn't talk about that.
Do you jump on mouse or keyboard?
Why does your T-shirt say Pete? Is it part of the setup?
Endpoint Pete should be part of anyone's setup!
@@EndpointQuake agree! Had a question about the venue. Can we pop in with friends and play some quake or was it arranged specifically for bootcamp?

Zoom sensitivity?

and no, I do not think settings do not matter at all. They matter, and a lot. just not everu pro player understand this.
