1974 LAS PALMAS + Maspalomas! Vintage Home Movie Upscaled + Sound Editing

Enjoy the sights of sunny Las Palmas in the early 1970s. Starting from the La Puntilla area, take in beautiful views of the iconic Playa de Las Canteras before heading over to Parque de Santa Catalina for a good perspective on the Hotel Don Juan, a tower then new, today known as the AC Hotel Gran Canaria. Then after a short visit to a remarkable valley in the island's interior it's over to Maspalomas for a stay at the Hotel Faro (still going strong today) and a look at the area's vibrant beach. Then it's back to Las Palmas and a short Canarias folk dance performance before our guides finally catch up with a young gentleman who was probably their son, in full dress uniform, then doing his military service on the island. If you love Las Palmas and Gran Canaria you are sure to enjoy this remastered vintage Super 8 film.
