In a special VLOG entry, Hoi Wah Ho of Dynasty documents his private training sessions at the Lau Family Hung Gar Kuen School of Hong Kong. He receives instruction from Hong Kong legend 劉家良 Lau Kar Leung's disciple, Hung Gar Kuen master Mark Houghton (Ho Mak) A.K.A. "White Tiger".
Mark Houghton is a Hung Gar master, an actor, and stuntman in Hong Kong, and is the father of Charlene Houghton. He teaches Hoi Wah Ho the "White Tiger" form, a consolidated form that he created for beginners looking to quickly learn the fundamental movements of the Hung Gar Kuen style.

Dude they are scarce. You rarely see other styles of Kung Fu these days. Just like you said "Absorb as much as you can from him". Learning any form of martial arts is fun.
I’ve done hung gar for years before going to do south boxing wushu. Mark Ho is known as one of the best. Both in choreography and in teaching traditional martial arts.

Does Hung Gar adopt the wooden dolls of Wing Chun and Choy Li Fut? I would like to ask a question. Has the Hung Gar style historically had a wooden puppet of its own? Or always adopted wooden dolls from other styles of Kung Fu?
Hi, I'm not sure I am qualified to answer this. From what I know, I don't think there is a Hung Gar specific Wooden Dummy. There is a Wing Chun dummy that can be used, as well as the Choy Lay Fut dummy.

I am a 26 year hung gar student from another lineage, but am able to call Mark my si-baak (elder kung fu uncle) and have had many opportunities to train with him over the years, to answer your question, hung gar has a wooden dummy form using a dummy similar to, but not exactly the same, as the wing chun Mok Yahn Jong

How do u feel about self taught martial artist in one part of the video u made a good point about actually getting a teacher to kno why an when about practical application an about body conditioning
Always get a teacher, unless there isn’t one available nearby or due to financial situations. You learn much faster with the right teacher and don’t waste your valuable time.
I met Sifu Houghton once at a bar in Tsim Sha Tsui during the world cup back in... 2010(?). we talked Kung Fu until the sun came up and his wife got mad cuz we all had way too much to drink, lol. My friends joked "when are we going to Fan Ling to train with him.... nah, he has no time for pussies like us?"

Are you sure this is not a Jow Ga form? It sure has the feel of it. Great form anyway, love both Hung and Jow Ga.
A lot of CMA is intertwined so we wouldn’t be surprised!
