A 5 cent pack of 1956 Topps baseball cards now worth around $2,000 if not more.

There's a website that shows you every baseball card, front and back, since the 1950's! Perhaps that is why card shows are forgotten now. RIP Don Newcombe

I'm glad you liked the comment--that's better than the infamous events in Washington regarding a government shutdown, but that's another story! At least baseball won't be shut down as it was some 25 years ago (the strike)!

Brooklyn may have won the first two games of the Serie s 6-3 & 13-8 after rallying fr- om a 6-0 deficit, knocking o ut Don Larsen in the 2nd inn ing of Game 2, but nobody k new that just five days later Brooklyn would fall victim to the biggest game in World S eries history as Larsen woul d more than redeem himself in retiring every man he face d in notching a perfect gam- e for the first (& only) World Series no hitter.

I remember bits and pieces of this World Series watching this on TV,when we iived in Albany NY. My mom was a Dodger fan. I guess that started me to root for losers, thanks mom. Did any of guys happen to hear what the pitch count was in this game was, this is why i like to listen to these old games.

Karl DeMarse Pitch count LOL never happened back then, you’d have to keep track of them yourself so I don’t believe they ever worried about a pitch count, the game is changed for better or worst
