First time I heard 8s was in a 3 box setup with 1500 watts, 500 going to each sub, in a downward facing box in the trunk of a small 90s celica. It blew my mind how hard it hit.

People at my work can't believe you can hear me about two blocks clean and clear bass.keep up the great work and keep them coming. 👍🏻
It seems to be a great little sub. I know it was just for demo purpose, but I'd love to see the results out of a smaller box close to specs. This thing sounds great and does quite impressive 134db on dash (Termlab).

You're not getting any volume out of it because it's in a box that's 3 times too big AND it has fill in it. You might as well be testing it free air. Build a proper box for the sub and it will come alive.
You think four of these would be crazy? I’m wanting a set up to be so strong it almost feels like it’s punching me. So would I be able to get that out of the 8”s or so I need to go bigger, if so how many?

Due to sub size, it has to move a lot in order to play super low. It’s why I always stick to 15” subs or bigger for anything under 30hz. Or multiple small ones but still risky.
@@zacharyhafer2806 Please read carefully. “It has to move a lot” Of coarse sub size does not matter. But the smaller they are, they have to move the cone more to compensate.
Great video. Considering they are only rated for 500 watts rms . I also agree that box is way too big for that sub . Definitely deserves another chance in a box closer to its specs

This is my first system install. I have a Audiopipe db2 on an Autotek TA2050.1 2000w Mono. I hooked everything up and got NOTHING from the amp. The remote wire was wired to the remote wire in the back of my afm stereo. I used Ttaps to do this. Im getting about 10-11.5 volts on the remote wire from the stereo but only about 2-4 where the remote wire hooks up to the amp. I then tried a different wire that was putting out 14 volts thinking maybe it just wasn't enough before. Still only got about 2-4 volts where it connected to the amp. What is the issue 😭🤦 (I've been trying to find time on the weekend to do this for 5 weeks)
Have you tested any 8in subwoofers ? Besides this sundown?
what would jl series would you compare it to output wise? 8w7? 10w3?
I just bought two of these for my ridgeline. Put them in a sealed box I had and they did good. I want to try them ported. Anyone have any advice on port specs if they are both mounted in the same 1.5 cu ft box. I'd like to run one 4" aero port. How long does it need to be if I want it tuned around 34 Hz?
I got the skar zvx 8 and I tought a 200W rms pioneer amp can power it but it distords as hell...I hate when you can't power a bigger sub with a smaller amp because of distorsion at high volumes
So which one is better the sundown 12 v2 or that 8"?
What mic are u using? Its probably pretty good cuz i can hear all the bass notes that your playing from my subs 🤣
