Glad someone requested this one! What you thought was an instrument that made the "bee buzzing sound' is ACTUALLY a throat singing technique. If you want to hear their rock style then "Wolf Totem" is a must and "Yuve Yuve Yu" (you-vay you-vay you) is pretty cool too. The Hu also covered a Metallica song "Sad but True".
This is beautiful and powerful. The buzzing sound you heard was not an instrument, it was overtone singing. The Hu uses in many of their songs, a combination of mongolian traditional throatsinging, which is like the deep humming of tibetan monks), and overtonesinging, which is a away of shaping the mouth to create a kind of "echochamber" in which the overtones comes through more clear. You can check out more overtonesinging listening to David Hykes - it's basically used for meditation. The Hu seems to use it more like a tribal way of expression of spirit. This was a LOT more quiet than most of what I've heard from them. They can go VERY heavy.
The instrument called The morin khuur also known as the horsehead fiddle, is a traditional Mongolian bowed stringed instrument. And strings made by male horse tail
LP - Lost On You [live session] (336M views) is a very popular song to react to if you want a better idea of what she dose. she is also a song writer for a lot of real big names a award winning songs.
They actually did a soundtrack for the video game "Star Wars Jedi: the Fallen Order". Apparently, they were asked to not sing in Mongolian, as an intergalactic sound was wanted. So, they made-up a "language" for the song. There is a nice video of them performing this in the studio.
Zack …you must react to the HU and what they created for the Star Wars game “SUGGAN ESSENA” (it may not be spelled correctly) . It’s so epic and MAGICAL. I love that you reacted to the HU BAND. I been a SUBSCRIBER since you started your XG Reactions. 🐺♥️🐺♥️🐺
Song is really beautiful. 😊
Love the HU ❤️🔥🤘🏼

LP’s voice “as an instrument” @5:58, where her voice simply melds into the morin khuur…also she absolutely BELTS it out from @9:08 to @9:22.
LP's voice is always amazing and it fits well in this song
