Plot twist: Lucius is not the final villian the real final villian is Lucifugus. Lucius created the Paladins to protect humanity from a much bigger threat and that is Lucifugus and the Joker Kingdom.
It would be interesting if there was another kingdom or nation, but given this is the final arc I don't feel like they would have time to develope another nation and villain.

I think of this because Black Clover has many Norse myth references and Joker may have something to do with Loki.

I am confused about how the Hino Country looks Japan. It is likely that the Hino Country is located on a fragmented continent. The Hino Country is going to be larger than Japan. For the Joker Kingdom, it remains a mystery. It is l the western most continent. Lucius' base of operations may be located on the continent. So there is a chance that there is an very powerful being who is Lucius's puppet master. The puppet master allows Lucius a lot of free will. Yet on occasion, the puppet master will pull some of the strings without Lucius being aware of it.
Oddly there is another powerful being in the Hino Country. Ryu is aware of the identity. This being is a female descendent of Amaterasu the Sun Goddess. Yes I am referring to the Empress. The other being is a male. He was behind the deaths of Shogun and the grandmother of the current Empress. He seems to be playing a game of chess.
It is more likely the Empress is Yuno's female counterpart. While Yuno is very powerful, he is a lot like the younger brother who looks up to his older brother. The older brother happens to be Asta. Yuno uses Asta in order to boost his confidence. For the Empress, she is a vital minor character who Tabata plans to introduce. I predict that Asta will meet the Empress before he learn who she really is. The Empress can pretend to be a Princess who is related to the Empress. Yet only the level of the Empress' powers can disclose who she is. Ryu know about the Empress. She may be in the town where the Castle Town residents were sent to. Even just pretending to be a Princess, the Empress can help to calm the Residents of the town and the Castle Town.
