    High lift blades suck on the wright. I used them for one day and said f that.

    I've also demoed the Wright ZK and had the same complaints. I took it back to the dealer and told him my complaints and he said it's not the first time he's heard those complaints. I decided to stick with my Ferris Z3X. I even reached out to Ed Wright who's a great guy, and told him the issues I had with his ZK. The ZK definitely looks like a bad ass mower with those large dual fuel tanks. It just needs some tweaking to make it better.

    Wright comes with a stripe kit from the factory. I’d definitely consider the northern baffle kit. I feel the wrights more for hayfields and 4’ grass. Lol mine didn’t manicure our southern turfs at all. Ferris was way better if you compare quality cut and finish look.

    Gravely made a killer new stand on!? Throw a suspension seat on the my ride, I did it and it’s on another level now. I feel no bumps.

    Does the Toro grandstand disperses the grass better on that typical property?

      Most definitely, turbo force is right their neck and neck with velocity deck

    my 37 vanguard efi takes 1.4 gph and thats full mowing which is about 2 arces in that hour

    Toro z master 6000 60” will throw the grass 2.5-3 passes where as the aerocore was making it about 1.5 passes...

      Could have been a under pitched/raked deck as that would cause heavy discharge with a good cut…

    I own the Wright Stander X 52" mower and it sure seems like it lays a heavy sheet of grass clippings all over the lawn. I just thought that was because the grass is so thick right now.

  • @logdon17
    @logdon17 3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    Sounds like the Wright is not the mower for you, at least you got to demo before buying and finding this stuff out.

  • @sclawns5257

    is it large clippings that are laying up on top of the lawn or fine clippings coming out in wads or clumps? Fine is from deck designed to chamber grass and you will see projections of the rear baffle convergences coming forward from those points with the intent to keep clippings in each chamber longer which works great until you add moisture to the scenario. I can fix it with five minutes and a grinder and open up the discharge too. Personally I prefer a open deck because i would rather run my 72" back over some course clippings laying in top with a cross pattern than walk around a yard picking wet clumps out of the turf. Blade sail height and blade tip speed also make a difference and you can change spindle pulleys to change that.

    Could it have been because of hi lift blades?

    • @LanierLawnCare
      @LanierLawnCare  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not sure. I just mowed with it. Honestly figured since it was a demo for our area it would be set up for the best cut and grass dispercement

    I had that issue with the stock blades. I switched to high lift blades and that went away.

    Not sure on that one man, maybe a blade change would help that mower with the clippings. I demoed a Stander X and ZK and thought they did well (but its different turf here in SC). If you havent yet, try the VRide 2 and the JD QuikTrak if you got a dealer to get a demo. And I know I will prolly catch some flack for this one, but if you can.....try the BadBoy Revolt stander, it surprised me. I am with you on the hydros for the Wright, they are silky! Keep griding brother!💪😎

    Man that’s a game changer, for something so simple you just can’t be double cutting lawns every time. Imagine if you had to do a bi-weekly lawn what it would be like? Triple cut?

    It looks like it disperses the clippings just like my gravely does. Good cut but it’s like there is long clippings left behind

    • @LanierLawnCare
      @LanierLawnCare  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah I felt the same. I feel the gravely was worse in this area though.

  • @easttnlawncare6740
    @easttnlawncare6740 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I looked at that very closely and I don't think it should be doing that you didn't cut but about an inch off of the last yard you sold what I was seeing it was only an inch of grass I don't know why it was pumping up like that I will say this mine does not do that but mine is a 15 inch hole for the grass to come out to spread

    Try a Ferris ZX3. I switched my entire fleet (dealer support and convenience is very important) to Ferris. Like any mower there are the ups and downs but they handle thick grass and wet graft pretty well. I have never been on a Wright but maybe check the blade angle???? I don’t know your sharpening setup but to solve an issue start simple then work the way to the solution.
    Edit: the ZX3 sips gas with the 37 Vanguard. Mowing 6 acres uses a little less than half a tank.

    Slow down there speedy.. lol.idk. never had a stander.. if you have good dealer support that's a big deal for me. Get a Husqvarna fanatic cut quality.. it's not going to happen so Just get the ferris shocks galore.. lol..it's always your choice not the popular choice.. 😇
