My neighbour split the front wishbone on his 1940 Ford. After spreading the wishbone and losing the swivel of the original design geometry the front axle would not articulate. 'After damaging one side of the split wishbone, he has had to change the front system to a four bar and a Panhard. The original split situation would cause one wheel to be lifted as the front axle tried to articulate. Lots of luck with your split.
The original Ford rear radius rods were engineered to hold the rear axle square to the torque tube. They were never intended to control the rear axle torque generated by acceleration and braking. Don't be surprised if they fail due to metal fatigue.

Can you make a banjo rear end into a posi or is it always an open rear?
