    This is why I am a forever customer. This level of video is what every frame/drone maker should be doing. Most dont. Fantastic video.. I will return once I get my kit and can hopefully take my BMPCC4K apart without breaking it!

    That's one beautifully designed drone and an exhaustive build tutorial. I'm in awe!😍🥳

    Don’t listen to the tuning comments… people who can’t tune just need to learn a new skill. I’m stoked that someone’s out there releasing something actually innovative! It’s been awhile. 😊 keep it up! If it flys like crap straight away I’m still more than happy for you to have taken my money for going through all of this effort! Get it boi!

    Sam I watched from beginning to end, what a class you gave us, congratulations on the project, I was already your fan, now I'm even more so, congratulations my friend, the project is so beautiful.

      Oh my god you watch the whole thing!? You deserve an award! I tried to pair it down, but still a lot to cover with the drone electronics too.

    Was waiting for you to sit down and talk about this frame, so excited 👌

      I am not sure if I will do a design review video anytime soon as I need to work on some other projects too, but after watching this video I am sure you can glean a lot of good info from it about the design.

    What is max flight time ?

    Hey Sam,
    I cant wait for mine to arrive.
    Quick question, do you have to tape the batteries or could you use a battery strap or two to secure the batt to the quick release?

    Hey Sam, I can’t wait to get it, it’s amazing. are you planning to create prop guards for the squirrel?

    • @strawhatsam
      @strawhatsam  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey great to hear from you! I do plan to design arms for the "Chipmunk" conversion which would be a 4"-5" guarded setup similar to Le Puffin. Because of the A-frame layout of the arms, making a conversion kit like this may be tricky, but I'll figure something out.

    Very, very nice.

    I like the wider form factor. My huge batteries should fit this wuthout mods. And the LCD cable looks nicer too.

      The strap adapter that also comes with the kit should help with mounting batteries side by side too if the quick release doesn't work out.

    hey sam, I am a little suprised you didnt tend to the tune issue in your last video. i suggested it might be a resonance issue or a COG issue but you said it was just a bad tune... however, you should REALLY fix that and upload a video before moving forwards. Otherwise you might be guiding people into a drone that wobbles around

    • @strawhatsam
      @strawhatsam  ปีที่แล้ว

    I wanna see a crash. Because at 200 grams for 700$ for a frame with no parts to actually fly. As a customer I am saying why not buy a rotor riot tanq that flies and put 8 inch arms on it. I have a full flying setup for the price of your frame. I LOVE INNOVATON do not get me wrong and I love your idea but at that price you have to make it fly for me. I would say it would sale better if you sold it as a BNF Bind and Fly.

      I’m tremendously disappointed with this design.
      So now I gotta strip 4 cameras in order for me to maintain redundancy, instead of having the flexibility of being able to swap my two current nakeds between my two puffins and pigeons?
      This ain’t right, Sam.
      Please keep stock of pigeon and puffin frame parts.

    • @Bannisterpost
      @Bannisterpost ปีที่แล้ว

      I dont build these to crash but I have crashed the Pigeon and the Vulture and they were surprisingly resilient. Ive never flown a rotor riot tanq but I have flown Sam's Pigeon V1 and V3, Puffin, Vulture, and have ordered this frame. Nothing flies like the Pigeon, not that everything else is worse but nothing flies quite like Sam's builds. Im not moving all my setups over but The pigeons are my fun / cinematic / longrange (do everything) 7" builds, The puffin is super stable indoors but I rarely fly it, The Vulture is a crazy fast 6" with these sweet removable prop guards and flies a full camera and then this build 8" built in camera. Very excited to try it and if you do I would be VERY SURPRISED if youre dissapointed.

      @@BannisterpostI work with my pigeon and puffin regularly, so I always need to have at least two of each on a job if I’m using a BMPCC. I currently have two naked BMPCCs.
      If Sam decides to make a whoop style frame using this same concept, that means people that do this professionally will need to have at least two whoops and two open prop designs to have spares on the job, so that means four naked cameras. Between the cost of this frame design, components and a camera, I’m easily looking at over $2000 per build.
      Plus, why is Sam banking on the BMPCC4K? BMD already came out with 2-3 new cameras this year…who’s to say that they won’t come out w a new 4K next year? Then what? A new camera could potentially make this frame obsolete.

    • @sparkitektfpv1296
      @sparkitektfpv1296 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@FPV-coolguyyou made a lot of solid points. I primarily use Sam’s frames for work, multiples of each + multiples of naked cams…stripping more cameras and calibrating them is just too much stress for me.

    • @Bannisterpost
      @Bannisterpost ปีที่แล้ว

      @@FPV-coolguy So you know then, I love the pigeon its still my favorite build. There's always new stuff, but the m43 Braw powerhouse that is the BMPCC4k is still enough to work in the film industry. I dont see it going obsolete. Saying that I am testing the Studio Camera 4k G2 this month on the Vulture... Same basic camera though. As for the Squirrel, the footage sold me, dont know if I will make more then 1 for now but if a new camera comes out it can be retrofitted im sure.
