Out of curiosity, how do you get to do this? Is it necessary to be prior military? This is a plane I’ve always wanted to fly and right I’m gonna work towards getting into aerobatics

The L-159s are pretty cool as well. The engine was actually changed to a proper military one on the L-39NG, but I think the L-39C and ZA still had the civilian engines.
yeh i noticed the wing tips were curved & not like the standard profile which is flat to allow the tip tanks to be fitted. their comment below suggests that the increase with wing performance actually gives better range without the need for the tip tanks as well as performance and handling benefits.
1} G tolerance increases 1-1.5Gs from breathing oxygen. 2} part of the flight was at 12,000’ and cabin altitude was over 9,000’ (operational we wear a mask anytime cabin altitude above 8,000’ and pulling G’s)

I’ll own one is 5 years
U can own one, for around 750k (USD), its fairly cheap to maintain as well, with fuel being your biggest spending point.

All you need is at least 3-400k and enough money for fuel and maintenance
Czechoslovak made good looking jets for its age
Even the predesessor AERO L-29 Delfin is beautiful as well.

no issues, and a much better flying wing. We also can travel 40 miles further without burning 56 gallons of tip-tank fuel
