61 years old - play guitar and believe it or not I never learned this solo (s). Honestly, when younger and a full on metal head I didn't appreciate this kind of music. Older and hopefully wiser now. I have my kids whom are musicians listening to ALL the old styles and genres. Love this stuff!
No it's not. The organ is too loud and is playing the incorrect chord inversions, it doesn't have brass/trumpets playing at the end, and it's missing the china crash cymbals. The one I made on my channel is much better and more accurate to the original. I'm trying to get more people to use it so please check it out.

I have been using this backing track from start to finish on my entire Comfortably Numb learning process, which of course took me a while to complete (and I still suck at the down scales). Nice thing about it is it has a happy ending where I was able to improvise my own conclusive ending, instead of the usual fade on the original. This is as close as it gets, and I would use no other on my practice sessions.
Playing this on its own is one thing but playing this with the instrumental is just amazing. Sometimes it's hard to believe the sound is coming from my guitar 😂

this is the best quality backing track I've found for the pulse edition so far but it is a little bit shorter than the live pulse performance! would be great if it was full length! But thanks heaps for putting this up regardless!

Very nicely produced track and good vocals. Would it be possible to take out the high pitch synth sound that comes in near the end of the first solo as it clashes harmonically with some notes in the solo?

Yea the problem is that the song doesn't sound good without that track, other than that 1 horrible part with the high pitched notes. You'd have to download that track separately and edit it, then remix. Whoever made that track sucks a big nutsack and should get his ears checked. It's funny how many version of this there are floating around with different versions of instruments.
Actually If you play the solo 100% accurate that high pitched Synth sounds great with the solo.... but thats just me it has alot to do with how much middle and top you have, aswell as reverb.. and volume mixing aswell....... You definiately need a good mix for it to sound right.. but its correct, through and through,
