- For a while, Dakota Fanning was the dictionary definition of a precocious kid actor. But she's all grown up now and taking on daring, challenging roles. At TIFF this year, she was in Kelly Reichardt's "Night Moves" as well as "The Last of Robin Hood," making her mark as a young actress on the rise... again.
The last time I spoke to Dakota was in 2008, for The Secret Life of Bees. ( • 30 Minutes With... Dak... ) Quite a difference. (Not only in Dakota, but in the production, including the title of the show.)

She's wonderful - hope to see her in great movies for years to come.
I came here for a quick glimpse and couldn't stop watching 'till the end.
"I get really sad at the end of the movie and I go home and I'm sad for like 2 weeks,and then I get really sad at the beginning of the next movie,because I miss all of the people I worked with on the last one,and then you think like you'll never be able to care about these new group of people as much as you did the old one but you always do." Man,what a pure soul.You're one of a kind,Dakota.Keep up the good work.
I have newfound respect for her ever since she decided to do a Kelly Reichardt film - love the woman's films.

I actually think that this is one of the most relaxed interviews that I have seen from Dakota in the last years. Sure, she might look a little tired. But this interview is from TIFF, where she had to do a lot of press in one day to promote her new movie. So of course it's normal that she will get a little tired by the end of the day. But apart from that, I think that this was a great interview.

That never end up making it big? She's made it big already, and she did when she was very young. She's got a great career most people will never get.
What? she still has a very active acting career, just because she hasn't been in any huge movies doesn't mean she hasn't made it big. She was in most of the twilight movies and has been in movies since then..
I mean when she was younger she was in countless major motion pictures that were huge hits so I mean like blahoba said she already made it big.

Elle is like model, magazine, catwalk beautiful, with complete symmetric features and Dakota is pretty average looking, edgy features.

Dakota is one of the best actresses of all times. I hope she gets that recognition someday the way that she deserves. She is one of a kind in all senses.

She shouldn't have done the Twilight films - they did her no favours. But ever since her bank account got satisfied from doing those horrible films, she's looked towards edgier and more interesting material. That's good. I hope she stays on that path.

We're the same age. But for some reasons she looks a little bit older from our age, but she's still beautiful. I remember when I first saw her in Twilight I think 3 years ago I almost lost myself to know her and also to find her name. Now I finally got it.
