To be technical. AMV was made in 2010. Their comment was two years ago, so 2014. That's a four year difference.
Obviously, 13 plus 4 is 17, but as they said they'd be 18 in a few months, it all adds up.

Where and how did you get video clips from the actual Anime? i just started making vids a few days ago and all i know how to do is picture slides shows with music and all that jazz but i dont know where to get good vid clips or how to put them in my vids (i have Windows Movie Maker will that work?)
