All you want is what any child wants… to be loved and cared for by their family. You may not be a human or witch or demon, but even Gods need a family. Come with us." Collector: "Okay Luz."
That last scene really hits deep. When you think about it, the collector is just a kid who wanted to be surrounded by people who care about him. And if looking into his actions, he acted a lot like King did during the first season. Only, he did not have the same opportunity as King did- King received the chance to have a family when Eda adopted him and the collector didn’t. Hopefully, that kid can be redeemed and get what he really wanted in a much better way.
I don't think the collector wants to kill Luz using his advanced magic he definitely could so he would have to use his own non magic power which is what he meant I think

I love how Luz finally got through 2 Collector, and how he opened up about how he really felt about how he felt alone and that he felt bad that he couldn’t be as good of a friend to King as Luz. This would be such a great scene 4 the 3rd episode of season 3 of the owl house. I loved this video that you made!
Luz would tell him about her struggles she went through for the past few months until she was reminded of the good she made for the people she cared about than bad. Heck we could even get a similar scene to what we got with Luz and Camila in For the Future.
Honestly this needs to be Canon, they need to have the Collector understand that what he's doing isn't right and let him have a happy ending with everyone.

Really, the Collector doesn't seem like such a bad guy! He's more or less just a kid with way too much power and too little actual life experience! All he'd really need is a parent- or authority figure who would set him some boundaries and show him how to still have fun!
