I love David Dickinson he's so respectful to all his guests. What a lovely humble man John is for all his bravery. I do like Mark as well. Great result.
I would say that conductor's baton was a presentation piece, given to Sir John after leading an orchestra for a season or something like that. Doesn't look like one of his workaday batons.
He did a great job getting more for his client who was happy, Mark is a dealer thats his job where he wins some and loses some. David gave sound advice and they both supported John fantastic all did well. Congratulations for John about to be a grandad. A HERO.
With respect, Mark did not " do nothing", he guaranteed 10 grand of his own money, and if the lot had flopped at auction he stood to make a huge potential loss of many thousands! As they say " you have to speculate to accumulate", and Mark took a BIG risk. IMHO, he is the fairest dealer on the show! Best wishes, sir!
@@bobstirling6885 I understand your point, but auctions are pretty fickle, and he could not be absolutely certain he would not make a hefty loss! Its kinda tragic the seller was reduced to selling the narrative of his pretty incredible life!

Imagine getting an SAS special operator on the show with his medals. A very humble man and also a very dangerous man. £17,000 was a bargain.
Mark and the gentleman who sold his medals were both just great ❤
Brilliant mark.
Sooo exciting. Doubt anything like that will be seen again. What a truly brave man and a privilege to see him.
A great show John the Hero was a James Bond with his colleagues, well deserved. Very happy for all of them making this momentous moment.😊
Wow great well done John and his advisors. Best wishes from The Land Down Under. I watched the siege back in the UK exciting and great work. 😊

Should gone to auction with the BATON
That baton for Sir John would have been too long and heavy to use when with an orchestra. Ceremonial only surely?
None of the ex services should have to sell any of their medals the country should look after all the services
Man should have kept his medals
Good money for his daughter and new grandchild though!
Always in flashy suits 🖕🤣 The man lol
James Late was early.
Why do people still insist that there’s value in sentimentality? Who gives a shit?! Don’t sell it then!

Looked like a hare to me haha
Why should that dealer get any of the medal money?!he should’ve just taken it to auction..the dealer shouldn’t have been entitled to his money!

He put his money up would you .... a good dealer 😂
The baton lady is so greedy and desperate.
So Mark makes £2888 for doing nothing....I expected him to maybe take £1000 for underwriting the auction price, but that's just greedy.

@@marknewell997 with respect, he knew he was on an absolute dead cert winner otherwise he wouldn't have made the offer.
