Hi there fellow student, I wholeheartedly concur with this thoughtful and encouraging comment!! I like reading other incredible viewpoints! We may not always get the assistance we require at school…… 😂. However, TH-cam is a fantastic thing, am I right?🤣 Good to see you, friend! Ha, good luck with your math endeavors!
I help my son, who is on the spectrum, with his math homework. His school provides no real accommodations for his learning. This is very challenging for me as 11th grade was a long time ago. So I have to scour youtube to try to learn the lesson for his homework so I can help him with it. You are the 4th teacher I clicked on to learn this material. I was just not getting it and was worried that I could not help him. Then I found this video and everything came together. Thank you very very much. You are a great teacher.
Thank you so much! I didnt understand on what my math teacher was saying until i found this! Now i can finish my homework without stressing. Thanks again!
Hi! Thank you for your videos. Can you help me with a reflection over the y axis? I am studying for my SAT. I got this function y=|-1/2(x+3)|+1. I know this is a horizontal compression and a reflection over the y axis. But they are asking me to find the corresponding points for the points (2,2) and (-2,2) in the parent function. I have tried, but I am doing something wrong because the new coordinates I get are not points in the new function. I don't really know how -1/2 within the absolute value signs affects the new coordinates. Can you give me a hand, please?
Say it is y=|2x-3| then you would shift right 3 first then it would be followed by a horizontal shrink by a factor of 1/2. See some of my other videos on transformations. I’ll post another reply to this comment with the link.
Brilliant tutorial. Before coming here, I was struggling with absolute values. Now I understand, thanks to this tutorial.
This was the best video I've found on the topic, and I've tried many. Thank you!
Nice one sir. U have indeed Inspired me to bring up good thoughts about mathematics.
Literally, this video makes the transformation function easier, thanks!
Glad to hear it!
I was in absolute confusion! Thank you so much!!!!!
why are all the youtube tutorials better than the actual school teachers themselves
Yeah you right my friend, with you

Thank You, this was very helpful. I'm taking a quiz on this tomorrow hopefully I get a good grade.
Oh update I failed the quiz lol better luck next time I guess
@@iatethecakeproductions1355 that sucks, better luck next time lol
@@iatethecakeproductions1355 I have a test on absolute values tmrw...
@@farahchauhan8436 did you pass?
!!!Thank you!!!
You make math much more easier thanks 😁

Thank you sir!!! You saved me from getting fail in exam, you made math much easier. I watched alot of videossss online, but this one. Thank you
this is amazing thank you
Your the best my teacher doesn’t explain it this well 🔥
Thanks for watching and I'm glad it helped!
Thank you from India !
thanks so much😀😀
wow i had a test on this in algebra and I watched this video and I aced the test! thanks for the tutorials dude!
Thank you Mr Mario, this was really helpful
You're welcome! I'm glad the video helped you understand how to graph absolute value functions.
Thankyou! You explained this so well.
you have no idea how enlightened i am right now thanks to you, i've been super stressed because my mocks are coming up in 5 days
Glad my video helped you!
thank you so much mario, you've helped a ton
thank you for this , now i actually understand and wont fail
Thank you for this tutorial. I though it will took forever to understand piecewise functions.
brilliant teacher many thanks
thank you for this great explanation mister 🙏
You are very welcome!
❤️ Love u sir from india ❤️
Best and easy for create graph function absolute
Great explanation! Thank you so much
Best Math teacher
Yeah u right my friend. With you
Mashaallah this is really beneficial thank you very much sir❤️❤️❤️Mashaallah
this is saving me, midterm for 8th grade and i need to know this
THANKS SOOOO MUCH

You are welcome!
Thanks sir , great explanation
Mega thanks Mr. You help me.
Glad to hear that!
Thanks Sir you made it very easy
Thank you so much! :D
OMGG THANKSSS 😁🙏
thank you, sir.
Hello, this is an excellent video. I still am not sure about the concept of having 'the opposite effect' on the |x-h| part. Can you help me?
Is this really algebra 2 because I am in algebra 1
Beautiful
This guy makes it more easier than khan academy.
What do you do when the x is an integer greater than 1?
Thank you so much u basically saved me from failing my homework
anyone is open to answering this but how do you find the intervals that increases and decreases without the graph being there?
What does the X mean in the equation
X is the input
What if there is no k value? do I substitute 1?
If there isn’t a k value then the graph is not shifted up or down.

Should I be concerned that I don't know all these details except for how it's solved..is that like a teacher thing or am I supposed to know that too?
What happens when there is a coefficient in front of the x within the absolute value?
Do you mean like y=|2x|? This would be a horizontal shrink by a factor of 1/2
@@MariosMathTutoring I think I figured it out. Thanks
What happened if it something like this
|2x+h|?
Say it is y=|2x-3| then you would shift right 3 first then it would be followed by a horizontal shrink by a factor of 1/2. See some of my other videos on transformations. I’ll post another reply to this comment with the link.
