Actually you can optimize your taiko controller for better gameplay and sync the controller to your screen if you have a lag input issues on the game's settings
I liked Taiko mode on Osu! during a phase where I played it regularly. This is $18 on PSN rn, and I was wondering if there was anything too different about this version. Looks like nothing much, just a few things that DLC is exclusive. Missing Undertale stuff is a bit of a bummer but I can get over it. $40 is way too much for a game like this, but just under $20 is perfect for an impulse buy.

Drum Session is fun and all, minus the DLC system. I refuse to buy songs individually and I wanted songs in packs. Drum and Fun was lacking content. But then, something changed when they started adding more features for the Switch side. Hell, we got an online battle mode to face someone realistic but it’ll be mostly players from Japan. And, Switch have song packs to buy monthly. Therefore, Switch now feels superior to the PS4 side. However, there’s no freedom to custom our Taikos which was done before when I used to play the DS versions. (Not 3Ds.)

The only problem I have with this game is the achievements. Some of them are so ridiculous! Like tf you mean I gotta get like a 900 note combo?! 😭
the UI is even a lot better than in arcade... seems bandai namco really maximizes the console power use

1:32 I have to disagree with you there. You can unlock a couple of songs. Also, online you could rank up to 100, starting at 1.
Since the game doesn't have unlock events anymore, there really is no way to unlock songs through gameplay.

Does the game have syncing options? Like in other musical games, to sync according to your TV latency etc
Yes it does. It has one where it can sync the visuals with the sound being recorded via your mic headset as well!
If you have a switch get the switch... more people can play and more songs like WAY more but this is a good port not the best but gud
It would be nice if the game supports PS Move controls, sadly to get the full experience, consumers needs to import the Taiko Drum.
And those import drums seem to have weird lag that can’t be compensated with the actual lag controls in the game too, i.e. faulty hardware
