I had no idea. I threw up so much blood like crazy. Massachusetts General Hospital saved me. Fluids, blood products, banding and TIPS. Soon after cancer was discovered and treatment for liver cancer and 8 ½ years ago a liver transplant.

Transfused fresh frozen plasma in case of cloating factor deficiency
Pentoprazole for stress ulcer
Measure to prevent hepatic encephalopathy as it precipitate blood contain proteins
To reduce oesophageal ulceration following endoscopic Therapy sucraflate given
