hey, i’m not too sure on what this could be but changed the wheel speed sensor code went and now has come back, it was original part. from doing some reading it could be driveshaft? or the tc/abs module before i go buy anything else just wondering if i could have a second thought on this, many thanks
No you don't anymore. This is the revised speed sensor which works with the ABS ring which is now built inside the bearing assembly. Only the sensor needs replacing in the vast majority of cases. The rings are very very rare to fail now.
hey, same warning light on and ALSO the speedometer is not working. the reader shows trouble with sensor on left rear wheel. it might be the same problem ?
These sensors are also called speed sensors and they send the revolution speed to the computers so mph is calculated. If one sensor is faulty the computer cannot calculate, hence the speedo error.
My mechanic pluged in laptop and watch parameters on wheels while i was driving...every time i get on speed bump or road bump parameters showed my left wheel going 40 kmh but right 100kmh....this way you can see witch sensor you need to change
Hi , I have 320d about a month ago my traction control light came on while driving on m25 car started to limp I eventually made it home with the dtc on. Since then one Garage run Diagnostic and said it was a control unit under the seats that was faulty and not the brake sensors, and today someone else run a test and it said it’s the ABS /ECU pump! Got no idea what to do next! What are your thoughts? SOS
I had the Abs and DSC (traction) light had both rear rings and sensors changed ..the abs light has gone but the traction light comes on and loses power only at higher speed around 55-60.mph ..can you advise what the issue maybe?
You need to get car connected to a OBD diagnostic and the codes read. You can get cheap Bluetooth readers that connect to apps like Carista and you can read the codes yourself.

Great video thank you. Love how you didn’t waffle on for too long and just got on with it. I changed mine myself today😂 amen!
Your welcome
You need to replace the abs rings on the drive shaft to and maybe the whole shaft to sort problem out!

@@jamilkhan4660will this sensor have my car not starting?
Good video, only issue was not using a star pattern when u torque wheel bolts on
Right you are. Apologies
how did you know which speed sensor
Run the code. Cheap Bmw compatible scanners can be found for ~$100. Pays for itself on the first use, and you have it forever
@@lordpidermann bluedriver didnt work for me in UK on BMW for some reason so i sent it back. Now having to futs around with ISTA to diagnose.

Almost definitely my speedo did some crazy things before it went completely

Great video. Is there a way to tell which sensor is bad?

@@lorenzoalic9719 That's a good way to do it.
how do you know which one to change?
When you plug the car in the error code tells u which one is faulty
hello, I have the same problem with abs esp parking, what could it be
Could just be corrosion on sensor &/or ring.

What did you do?
I changed ABS ring and sensor as well but still sometimes light coming on don’t know y
Three lit up fault indicators are the three amigos

Maybe the reluctor ring is gone, check it.
Rings and sensors changed still having the same problem
Cheap sensors , even if brand new, don't always resolve the issue. Worth investing in decent brand sensors.
Did you resolve it? What was the issue?
But which one do you need to change??
When you plug the car in the error code tells you which side is faulty
Need a scanner
What will happen if car is driven with ABS light on
After that all errors my car power loss... Is that same problem ???

You got balls for doin that shit on loose gravel
fr 😳
And kneecaps of steel.
Easy to spot the offending sensor. Scuff marks on the ring. (Shut it)
