16:04 It just kind of goes through Ray-Ray's hands?! Yeah, no crap! Like people if your receiving corr can't run routes without slipping, dropping passes what do you expect?
That's what happens all the time with with pistol and timing withe the stretch zone! That's why any O-Line coach will tell you the pistol is crap for running stretch zone and most schemes because it doesn't allow the RB to run down hill and screws up the timing of the line, the QB, the RB. From under the center is how you consistently run yhe football unless your QB is a serious running threat.
@@TByrd815 It's the biggest mystery to me. Now, when they tried to this game, they didn't block it well- but on the season as a whole, they'd been fairly effective the few times we ran play-action. I wanna say we're 31st in our play-action rate. I'd have to assume it's due to Kirk, but we'll find out when Penix is back there if anything changes.
8:10 Mooney slips and doesn't finish the route? It's a hitch to the boundary. Right where KCs throws it! When people become this subjective to the QB playing . It's time to put in the other QB they want to play!
He slips its obvious! He gets his upper body over his feet, so when he goes to slam on the breaks and run the hitch to the boundary. He slips and can't finish the route so the pass is incomplete. Mooney has done this before! Chargers pick 6 when Mooney losing his balance, which enables the easy interception and return. Nobody talks about
23:19 you have 5 blocking 4, and #41 comes on a delayed blitz right down the middle! BROB7 gets covered for the check down. The interior O-Line has to have their heads on a swivel! This shouldn't happen! The C or G double teaming someone else has to be able to react and clean late blitzes up like this! But it's either KCs fault or good job by the Raiders! Everyone that comes to the Falcons alp of a sudden sucks and can't play!
The last play is a zone blitz! Showed cover 0, but post snap drop the left side blitzers and if Ray-Ray would have been his 1st read it's an easy throw and catch! Raiders just guessed right!
11:22 Penix Jr rolling right probably! He's left handed so rolling right extending plays at all just isn't in his college film! How well he handle pressure is an unknown honestly? At Washington most games he isn't even touched! If the difference between the 2 were as drastic as anonymous people inside the building are saying then why hasn't the change been made? Would the media or fans give Raheem or Terry crap for putting him in now? No! What do they have to lose💁♂️? Only thing I can think of is if Penix JR goes in and plays horrible!
i cant beleive everyone runs the Dan Quinn defense. that zone/man look. you could literally run for 300 yards vs that look and also just dump it off to the RB every play
21:31 Bijan Robinson thinks it's a pitch and KC thinks it's a hand of? You tell me💁♂️? But saying that's why they can't run ZROB offense from center is just not being honest! But put Penix JR in ! Why aren't they? Hmmmmmmm🤷♂️
Failures of this team come from the top, down, much like it did with Kirk in Washington under Dan Snyder. The deception, underhanded, backhanded start was a sign of things to come. First, you tamper in the draft, and your HC acquirers a Veteran QB for a first time play caller and OC in the NFL (it shows in his amature route schemes), who uses a scheme better fit for a highly mobile QB, while deceiving their newly acquired QB to draft a QB at 8th overall and knocking his confidence down. All before he even takes a snap. They never once had any intention of using Kirk for what he does best, roll outs and play action. I believe it was the plan all along to let him fail. The worst mistake is playing your QB after week 10 when it was clear after one game, his injury affected his entire pass game and decision making, isn't that why you got Penix? Starting Penix, you could won another game or two and easily entered playoffs with two healthier QBs. Instead, you let your $180 mil investment self destruct on the field playing hurt, ruined his confidence, trade value, and now put a ton of pressure on a Rookie QB who has not even taken a hit from a starting defense, and now risk making both QBs look bad before the season's over. I wish Penix luck, but I highly doubt his presence is going to scheme receivers open all of a sudden. When your team sucks in RZ and 3rd conversions, it's all about situational play calling, and as the season wore on, Zac failed the most in that department. Defenses seemed to know Zac's play sheet pretty well, not even bad defenses are fooled.
Every QB is a creator and has to extend plays! How come the absolute all-time best QB's ever were pocket passers! Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Drew Breeze, Troy Aikmen,......ect! Are we saying Tom Brady couldn't play today? Peyton Manning couldn't play today ? I think that's ridiculous! And how many people know football has brought up for a second but disappeared? Why is he in pistol? Along with almost never running any PA or run action boots/keepers all season? You can't be successful in the NFL running pistol with a pocket passer and never running PA or RA! Pistol is for running QBs, or guys that aren't used to playing and operating an offense under center.
I think the play-calling hasn't been up-to-par in recent weeks compared to how it was humming during the Dallas game and prior. It coincides with Kirk having a dip in play after I thought he was really in a rhythm towards the middle of the season. There were some hiccups, but he looked more confident in what he was seeing. To me, the lack of bootlegs is either philosophical or due to Kirk's limited mobility. Unfortunately, until we see Penix on the field, we won't know if the lack of heavy play-action and bootlegs is due to Kirk or due to Zac Robinson's playcalling. Kinda hard to know unless you're in the room and the meetings.
its like defenses are just inviting the receivers to run at them.
May I ask what software you use for annotations?

where are the crossing routes? Mooney and Mccloud should be sprinting through the defense
Welp, they made the change
I just don't get why they never used play action when that's his strength, and it's where he's been most successful

You sound like Patrick Mahomes but more Kermit to it…
Kermit's a real nice guy so I'll take it
those routes are so crap, there needs to be fast quick slants and drag routes
haha as much as a WIDE open Mccloud on a quick pass is open, don't throw it? That mccloud route would be there every single down if they ran it
He misses the open man a lot
give your QB a chance to get the ball out quick. that sorry ass route of running 20 yards down the field and going inside... really?
