    Jessica: Where’s Roger?
Eddie: Roger? He chickened out on me.
Jessica: No he didn’t. I hit him on the head with a frying pan and put him in the trunk. So he wouldn’t get hurt.
    Eddie: ... Makes perfect sense.
Honestly my favorite moment from Jessica!

What I love about this movie is also the inclusion of 2d animation which sadly with the rise of CGI, is a dying art in the entertainment medium. This is a true masterpiece that I am very surprised was be able to happen with all the studios. This would be almost impossible in today’s world

technically they weren't Warner Bros at that time... they were still Hanna Barbera. But on a plus note people can fangasm over Donald and Daffy Duck interacting and obviously the biggie of Mickey Mouse talking to Bugs Bunny... the latter still being voiced by the late great Mel Blanc at the time.

Awesome review! Roger Rabbit is definitely the best films out there. My younger sister actually enjoys watching it; she actually gave it a chance after having ridden Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin at Disneyland.
As for the next film, oh boy Quest for Camelot. I feel that’s definitely getting the Seal of Garbage. The film was actually going to be aimed at older audiences, before turning it into “diet” Disney movie and failing at such. The crew even despised it, notably Lauren Faust.

ejl423 that was one of the elements that made me quit cinemasins and switch to cinemawins. Not only is he more positive and upbeat, but he's more focused on analyzing a film, while still being funny than he is on being negative for laughs. I think this is the film all those hybrids try to be, and at the same time, it's the one they don't quite understand, from Space Jam to the most recent Tom and Jerry. It's a phenomenon, quite honestly; it's one of a kind despite not even being the first hybrid. The standout moment that really cements how interesting Eddie Valiant is was when he's in his office reflecting on his career with his late brother. You could really see how much it meant to him in his facial expressions, and beyond that, he's very silent. He doesn't monologue to himself like he's in a Shakespeare play unlike Roger right before that; it's subtlety at its finest. But even the moment I mentioned worked well because Roger doesn't say much, and what he does say is very natural, given how it looked like his friggin wife might have committed the 'toon equivalent of adultery. "Oh, Jessica, please tell me it's not true, please." The voice acting from Charles Fleischer was very well done, and it was just tough to hear him sobbing like that. It's on par with seeing an upset Goofy in Epic Mickey. Unlike in Woody Woodpecker, where none of the characters are relatable, you actually feel for the both of them in Roger Rabbit, a testament to just how complex they are. As I mentioned, this is hard to replicate even though some try; Back in Action, Cool World, Smurfs. But it is a phenomenon nothing will really ever be able to capture the magic of. And the reason for that is because it's the only time Donald and Daffy Duck will ever play a competitive piano duet together, the only time WB and Disney's mascots will skydive together. It's a combination of the legacies of Tex Avery, Walt Disney and Gary K. Wolf, and not the corporate capitalism kind of legacy, but an ambitious crossover that wouldn't officially be possible today.

The story may take place where computer ruling n Hollywood but other forms like hand drawn and stop motion want to be on top of the game. A movie that will aimed to kids, teens, adults and families and everyone of all ages. I want my own animated live action film to be the next Who Framed Roger Rabbit film!

I agree with you Animat. I highly recommend Who framed Roger Rabbit. It is not only my favorite movie. It should also be considered the holy grail to Toonfanatics. It is a movie that Toonfanatics must own.

I got to visit three filming locations from this movie including,
RED Studios Hollywood (Maroon Cartoon Studios)
Glendale-Hyperion Bridge (ending point of the Benny the Cab chase)
    Observatory tunnel (entrance to Toontown)

Fantastic to hear that you've reviewed this Brilliant masterpiece though I do have one major question, whenever you give a film a 10/10 are you saying "Ten out of Ten!" or "BenadaBa!"?

I must definitely get to watching it again, now that I'm grown and have better tastes!

Booooy, I hate Looney Tunes: Back in Action. I't's boring, irritating, the characters, especially the villain, are stupid and annoying, I will give it that every scene with JUST Daffy and Bugs and no human beings is entertaining, especially the battle in space, but everything else SUCKS.

This would be a great idea for a Roger Rabbit sequel (if there ever will be)
Toontown over time has adapted to the new age and has hand-drawn, computer animated and stop-motion characters co-existing with each other.
But a bigger threat faces Toontown, worse than Judge Doom. A CGI-animated mad man who wants to eradicate 2D animation because it is ‘old-fashioned’ and ‘outdated’. That is when Roger teams up with a relative of Eddie Valiant (Son? Nephew?) and several familiar toons to save the cartoon world.

So AniMat will review hand drawn/live action hybrids but not puppet/live action hybrids. Is that strange or surprising? Do you reckon he'd review a Ray Harryhausen movie?
