Here’s a fun Selects 2-pack idea: OPTIMUS PRIME Repaint of SS Devastation Optimus (meant to be a Robotmasters Convoy homage) REVERSE CONVOY/MEGATRON Retool of Titans Return Hardhead with new faceplate and secondary Headmaster reusing the Doomshot Titan Master tooling
That’s a really good choice for the Megatron. You can even hide whichever head you aren’t using in the driver seat for the tank, and for vehicle mode the second head can still ride behind the controls for the mounted cannon. Brilliant! Good choice for the Optimus too. Honestly as things stand, if I do get that Optimus I’m already gonna consider it as Robotmasters Prime 😂
Construct Bots Strafe was a good toy. Clean in both modes with no wasted mass. Turning the beast mode heads and necks into the robot mode legs and feet was a far more elegant solution than just folding them over his shoulders. I spent way more time with that one than I did with the Deluxe.
Construct bots was only good for one thing and that's parts to customize Figures into others like a Seige Ultra Magnus into the Trash Truck from Rescue Bots ( the custom used only the cab)
There are 2 in this video I would disagree on... and one that set that was completely left out. Energon, I really don't care about that Megatron. I do love the Energon design as Galvatron but just for me personally I already have the leader so that Megatron just seemed unnecessary. The Optimus however, I was never able to find this two pack but I actually wanted that Optimus just because I thought it was funny that Optimus and Rodimus can both combine with each other. That Optimus mold, yes the combiner aspect is messy and it never even happened in the show but it has far more play value than the Megatron which is essentially just a smaller version of a toy I already had. The Megatron is not a bad mold on it's own it just felt extra. And that WfC two pack, I think the Megatron just looks a lot more interesting and considering it's a Decepticon, I don't think that set should even really count for this video. I mean that shouldn't even be an Optimus Prime, he's in Nemesis Prime colors. Apparently he was sold as Optimus so it barely counts I guess but Optimus as a Decepticon still feels wrong to me. So I'm giving that one to the Megatron. The set that was left out of the video is the Beast Wars 10th Anniversary figures. Not the Cybertron Deluxes that were sold as part of that line, those were sold separately. I'm talking about the reissue/remold of the original Beast Wars Ultra class figures. It's still an Optimus and a Megatron so that should count. And I would say the Optimus came out a little bit better. They remolded the heads on those releases to be more show accurate so they do not have the Mutant head gimmick of their original toys anymore however Primal also has a new gorilla face which means he also includes a new chest in robot mode as well which makes him far more show accurate, as show accurate as you can get while still using that original mold. Megatron's figure however doesn't have any new molding to the beast mode head, he is painted a lot more show accurate than the original release but they just didn't do as much remolding on Megatron as they did on Primal. If they retooled Megatron's beast head or retooled the left arm to remove the weird claw gimmick and instead give me a tail that can actually be removed like in the cartoon with an actual robot hand under it, then I'd vote for the Megatron but Primal is just doing more to get a cartoon accurate design out of that original mold.
I thought you would leave off the non-transforming stuff here. Anyway, it's a good lineup and kind or hard for me to pick and overall victor. Prime probably had less awkward figures than Megatron, I suppose.
Those TFOne BotShot molds are older than some of the kids who watched TFOne
Yeah that makes me feel old…
@@bennewbury2572 I remember when BotShots were new...
I remember back when I saw that BotShots commercial on the Transformers Prime season 1 dvd xD
I feel like I need to be in a retirement home now
Ouch man, my bones are aching now
Yoooo, the animated 2-Pack was part of what got me back into Transformers back in the day. I think I still have both figures in my srorage unit.
I miss vs packs. Feel like we never get them nowadays. I say that despite us getting one based on idw earlier this year
I was so happy to see that pack that I bought it and I love it
Was always very fond of the animated twopack
Megatron: I have a gun, Prime!
Prime: But you are a gun!!!!
Megatron: with cute lil.tank treads
Megatron: Yo dawg I heard you liked guns so I have a gun while being able to turn into a gun!"
Damn seeing that TF Prime Vs pack gave me NOSTALGIA!
That new Project Starcatcher outro gives me chills every time, I'm excited to learn what the heck it is
It's a project to catch stars. Duh
I'd be surprised we don't get a TF: One SS Orion Pax and D-16 2-pack from the Optimus and Megatron molds, just tooled to be smaller.

15:07 The way they’re positioned in the box is killing me
It’s over, Prime.
That's my line
"NEVEEERRRR!!!!!!!" *Double axe-handle uppercut.*🥊🥊
@@dubuyajay9964hot rod:Optimus forgive me
Weird question, but which digimon would each character in the transformers franchise have as an alt mode if it hypothetically happens?
ive been cleaning up my parents basement and finding old toys to save for my kid someday, the ultimate battle set made the cut
LOVE THE SPIN ON THIS VS. Keep it up.
Ooooo man I remember having that Kreo two pack, had so much fun rebuilding and customizing those two built figures
Happy Thanksgiving from SEA, Tj-O! ✨️🦃✨️

5:54 i got that 2 pack and Omega Supreme as a Christmas gift
I found the dinosaur construct bots to be kinda good, like I enjoyed Straffe but yeah, the Optimus and Megatron from that line look really rough.
Hello, yes, it's me! The worlds one and only Construct Bots fan!
6:18 Ive always called that one SpinMaster prime
We need a modernized take of these figures with same colors 5:08

WE ARE OUT HERE! #projectstarcatcher
You talked about Gamer Edition Prime in the best of 2023 list, didn’t you?
Happy Thanksgiving 🦃 TJ!
i hope we get a 2 pack of Optimus and Megatron from the shattered glass universe
Optimus Prime: 12
Megatron: 11
At first I thought it was gonna be judging by who won every battle

The only ones that I have is the cyber battalion pack. In that one, as soundwave would say, Optimus superior, Megatron inferior.
The Optimus in the United 2-pack is the better figure, but... feels very cheap and lackluster.
You will see what I mean when you get yours.
