But couldn't they lock him up for false reports? Plus people are involuntarily committed all the time still. I realize that creepypasta often rely on suspension of disbelief, but it's easier to suspend that disbelief for some things than others I guess. Great read though, the story was just a bit hard to believe for me I guess.
Rona Vaselaar is a magnificent author. "The Very Bad Man by the Chain-Link Fence" is one of the most important short stories, horror or otherwise, of the current decade.
Yeah, that's very professional for a cop. What i don't get is what happened in the previous murders: so, if the father didn't do it, then 1 of these things murdered the entire family and then killed itself or what? I mean, what are these creatures' motive, to have ppl kill them? Why? And, if that's the case, then why did 'it' allegedly murder the entire family, only to commit suicide? If they can kill themselves, then why need us? Or, did the father kill it after it killed his family? Then, I guess he killed himself without calling the cops that some person had murdered his family; that doesn't make sense.
