We forget how media has changed the availability of music. Jussi spent a long time performing in the US. Obviously well known in Sweden but with a smallish population.
Hi paul, IMO Jussi bjorling is the Best Tenor, I'm sure when you heard him sing, O Helga natt, for the first time. You kinda knew, bjorling can't be topped with this version. Rafa doesn't know much about opera. But he made a good point about, he thought the song was jussi bjorlings own song. That show's how good bjorlings amazing voice is. Jussi Björling died a long time ago. There are recordings with him but not many films. Opera singers know Jussi.
