Definitely agree that you should have a clear reason before moving out, it's weird that that's seen as the default thing to do in America as soon as you're old enough. Rent is expensive, if you're moving just because "it's the time where I'm socially expected to move out" then you're really just throwing away thousands of dollars for no real reason. I did it and don't necessarily regret the decision but looking back it would be nice to have a few grand extra in savings and to have spent a bit more time with my parents.

Unless you're extremely lucky you're going to have to rent a place to live for quite a long time, and the issue with renting is that you obviously don't own anything. I'm not saying young adults shouldn't help with anything, if you're staying at home you should probably still at least be buying your own groceries and helping out with the utility bills. It's just that saving all of that rent money is going to be a really, really big deal in the long run (Thinking about it now, I've actually dumped more than $100,000 into my apartment in the last decade, which is a lot even to people considered wealthy let alone normal shmucks like us living paycheck to paycheck. This is in Alabama, not even close to the high end for rent rates.) and it doesn't actually cost your parents anything extra to keep you under their roof. Plus you're kinda looking at this backwards, sure your parents have probably already spent a fuckload raising you but that's because they wanted to do that with their life. Any decent parent wants what is best for their kids and while teaching lessons like independence is important so is keeping you from crumbling under the weight of crippling poverty. I'm in my 30s now and currently in the market to buy my own house but even so I'm pretty sure if I called my dad up to ask if I could move back in with him he'd be open to it, because I know he loves me and would do anything in his power to provide for either of his sons. You should be grateful for that, not feel like a shameful burden. Obviously context is important and everyone has their own situation, for many people it wouldn't be healthy or realistic to stay at home. I'm just saying that it shouldn't be dismissed out of hand or looked down upon in any way. This has only become even more relevant since the pandemic, I'm sure many more people will be doing this if they haven't already since it's been even more difficult than normal to maintain a survivable income lately.

The pure skill involved with the ability to clear this level, let alone knowing the actual intended strat is astounding. I am just starting to sharpen my kaizo abilities as I’m still years from having the muscle memory to achieve this incredible feat.
