I feel like you could have included more information when you're passing places like towns, keys points in the route like toll gates and different provinces.
I drove to Zim in April via Masvingo, it's the worst. I had to come via Bulawayo it has a few bad spots but definitely nothing compared to Masvingo Road.

To be honest I think you highlighted the good points in South Africa and highlighted the worst when you hit Zim. But then I am just biased. I mean really you chose a Merc when you knew you would be doing lots of off roads. Still you did a fair balancing act
Thanks very much for that feedback! I think it's always the shock of being out of your comfort zone. The longer I drove in Zim the more I began to acknowledge the work being done on the road which will continue. I should be doing this again at the end of the Month, I will provide an update.

But to answer your question I used 1 and a half tanks which is about 145 litres. a Normal sized engine should used about 80-90 litres in my estimation sorry I'm not an expert. But distance is about 1100 km so if you fill up in JHB and top up in Muisina you will be more than fine.

Firstly, sorry about your Dad Brother, sounds like he lived a great life. I was doing 10.9l per 100km at best and about 14l per 100km inner cities. so 10.9l was good compared to the normal 16/17l when i am doing maround😂😂😂 All the best Bro please film and tag me

Thanks for the video. Single lanes and dirt roads can be found in Kenya too. I laughed when you praised the architecture of the tunnels. Africa has a long way to go. Thanks for sharing. I won’t be using the roads to travel from Johannesburg or Gaborone to Harare. Too primitive for me. Especially crossing the border.

You complain about the roads but you don't want to drive when they are being fixed. You drive on dirt roads without a spare tyre. Who plans a journey without a spare tyre or its equipment? I do not think you are fit to be driving such distances
Thanks for the Feedback! I had never had the experience of a car whose nuts for a spare wheel are different to the nuts for the original tyre! I lived and I learnt. But you are right, better planning could have gone into my journey. I have since gone back on the same road, the road is improving, and I have no hitches! keep well.
