♻️Happy gardening to all my viewers and subscribers.
Thanks Terry always full of admiration & enjoyable watching please buy a small treat for Mrs K from me
@tassiegirl1991 thank you so much my friend, we do treat ourselves to a coffee in the volunteer shop which helps the hospital.
Happy Thursday, Terry ❤
Great tour and update.
Please tell Mrs. K❤she is in my Rosary 📿
Your commitment to growing only the best nutrient-dense veggies and fruit is amazing.
Take care of yourself and Sandra ❤Peggy❤
@peggyhelblingsgardenwhatyo7920 thank you Peggy, enjoying getting ready for spring.
Yay, my elephant garlic's still growing!!! Can't believe how much compost you're creating. Well done, Terry! 🤝
@mikehurdiss226 43,000 litres of found compost helps Mike......😂 yes I always keep them going, we don't eat alot so ensuring we don't eat the best cloves......😁.
Nice one Terry! I've managed a few outings to the plots in the last week! No point going when you do more harm than good to the soil LOL
@@DigwellGreenfingers yes a walk around sometimes is the best thing to do.
Great information and tour of the plots. Give Mrs K my love for Friday and her her ongoing treatment throughout the year. Look after yourself. Thanks Terry and take care
@sandram1503 thank you Sandra, we are hoping the issues she is having at the moment disappear quickly.
Quality content as always, thank you for your valuable time. 👍🏼❤️👍🏼
@jmawdsley2 thank you John and for your kind words and continued support.
Everything looks great Terry , good luck with the giant veg this year.❤️👌👍🙏😁🥕🥔
@@nickthegardener.1120 cheers Nick, may keep it simple this season.
Hi Terry
New tablet did an excellent job. Good plot review . Your local council should employ you so you could start an educational program as you have a huge knowledge base.
❤ Mrs K
@maude5160 BBC's Gardeners World wasn't impressed with me speaking my mind over the phone, when they were trying to tell me what to do.......🤷♀️🤦♂️😂 They didn't come filming last year......wonder why....😂.
Another brilliant video Terry, highlight of the day. I learn a lot from them & confirms to me that I am going in the right direction. Good to hear the update on your good lady.
@rolandtaylor8283 Thank you Roland, weather's not good at the moment, but getting the little jobs done makes all the difference.
Hello Terry Kings Nice tour your allotments +❤ enjoy watching full support 👍❤ 20:04
@@brimelowfarmbychon3329 thank you for your kind words and continued support.
Hard working as usual
With everything in its rightful space
@AAHomeGardening if Sunday isn't too bad I will hopefully get a few more jobs done.
The new tablet looks great. No1 is looking great too.
@FreeYourMindArt need to get my son to look to see if I can stabilise the picture, seemed a bit lumpy. Very happy with my progress.
Plots looking superb Mr K, best wishes for Mrs K and hope all goes smoothly for you both
@jimkingston5670 thank you Jim, we appreciate your support.
Hi Terry, while I was ‘editing’ and uploading (a bit grand for my poor attempts) my last video I went back to my first video of the secret garden and the change is amazing. Looking after the soil and the plants really does pay dividends and you really are the master at that 😅, thanks to you I have become a major collector of leaves and wood chips and have hopes they will continue to help me improve the soil over the years! All the best to both of you ❤
@izzywizzy2361 I enjoy watching my first video and yes what we can achieve in a few years is amazing if we put a little bit of effort and time.
Nice tour Terry ,Plots looking good
@leewozzashomeveggiegarden I am now in a good place, had a good Sunday.
Great video again, as always. Sending hugs and best wishes for Mrs K.
@jeanhelliwell8160 thank you Jean.
Hey Terry 👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻
There is nothing worse than a kinky pipe 😂🤣😂🤣
Thank you so much for the shout out 😊
Hope the treatment isn't too uncomfortable for Mrs king ❤
I was just thinking that you could leave the sheep's wool on the bed and plant through it, it will keep it nice and damp in the hot weather ( if we get any😅)
Your new tablet is doing fine. Thank you for the update and take care my friend 🙏🏻
🐮🐮🐮
@mandamoosgardeningadventur8305 planting through it will be the best option and as you have said it could be a game changer in the summer holding moisture and feeding the plants at the same time.
So just a few things 😮. I’m thinking you need a holiday Mr K 😢 you’ve both definitely had a tough few months. She was absolutely thrilled with your kindness ❤. I hope Sandra does well, our thoughts are always with her because well she has a tough enough job looking after you 😅 (light humour). But truly I hope she is well, and you also need to look after yourself ❤❤, Ali ❄️❄️❄️🇨🇦
@myrustygarden Sandra has looked after me for 40 years so it's time to pay back, ensuring some of the things on her bucket list are completed.
@ ♥️💙💜❤️💛
@@myrustygarden ❤️🤷♀️❤️
Hi Terry, thank you for your videos, I always look forward to them. 3rd year of no dig at my allotment this season, has been a total revaluation of how I grow veg as I initially learnt from the readers digest 'the gardening year' book from the 70s. Have also finally treated myself to a greenhouse which will help me raise the seedlings for the coming year. Wishing Mrs K and yourself an amazing spring!
@kelvinbrooks3785 you will enjoy your greenhouse Kelvin, l do love pottering, but home life comes first. Thank you my friend.
Hi Terry, I bet you find a real bonanza of worms under that sheep wool mulch as well! I'll be thinking of you and Mrs. K this Friday and hope all goes well ❤️
~ Sandra
We are due soon the beast from the east next week so the worms will enjoy the warmth under the sheep's wool. I may even buy Mrs K a coffee in the hospital charity coffee shop on Friday......😁
❤
@Mr_Yorkie 👍😁❤️😁👍
Well done buddy …great tour nice to see all that’s going on…
@@Carl_from_plot_to_plate nice to record our growing spaces at different times of the season to look back on.
@@terrykingsallotmentgardening definitely 👍🏼
@@Carl_from_plot_to_plate 👍😁🌱🌱🌱😁👍
Best wishes for Friday and onwards for Mrs K. Plot 3 looks proper handsome Terry. Signs of spring popping up despite the Beast threatening fot the next week, lets hope the green shoots win out
@sowgroweat6987 nothing hurting in the ground and I can see me not being at home muck next week especially if we get the snow, so getting a few jobs done now will help my wellbeing.
All looking very well mate 👍
@nidge2822 in a good place at the moment mate, need to get the plots tidy just in case I am needed more at home.
Nature always finds away!
Love the rogue garlic 😂
Great tour Terry.
We are going to shovel up our wood chip outside the shed, it looks great and definitely needs renewing.
My walking onions are doing fab. I must feature them in my next vlog 😅
@ericandrachallotmenteers cheers Rach, almost in a good place in my allotments, just need to start sowing.
@ me too. Not done anything yet and feel I'll be do behind 😫
@ericandrachallotmenteers everything will catch up, this cold weather from the east will not help anyone with seedlings so let's sit back for a while.
Ah, reminder. Must get a few more Jewels strawberries. Thanks.
Were those Root Pouch grow bags? earlier in the video?
Shared this with my brother because of the water catchment system.
And best to Mrs. K. Amen.
FV. Thanks for sharing. I needed a good video tonight. And thanks for that keep the leaves down tip.
@@JulesGardening the root pouch cloth bags are unscrupulously dumped by the cannabis growers, ideal for my potatoes.
Looking good x ❤ for Mrs K
@helenkeough4187 thank you Helen 😁.
Terry I do admire you but watching I am exhausted listening to what your going to do it is never ending isn’t it, I know you love the plots but do you need even more barrels?
I can report that I have had a huge harvest from my three blueberry bushes (in pots) and we and our UK visitors are enjoying the tasty berries. After losing most summer crops I am re motivated. Strawberries starting to come on and my one year autumn raspberries have a few on.
To
You and Mrs K my sincerest best wishes hoping the treatment isn’t too debilitating and will be effective
Love to you both from down under.
@tassiegirl1991 Sandra is struggling at the moment with aching joints, but she is staying positive and hoping this will pass and not get worse. Lots of little jobs to film at the weekend and a Vegetable Harvest already done plus a review to upload. Thank you for your continued support.
Nearly four years ago, broke a shoulder it's taken some time to get everything back to the way, it was, with slight improvements along the way. My injury needed a jab to reduce the pain, the werid thing that causes pain is the screwdriver action, will have to use the battery one.
@helenstewart2085 gosh what would we do without electric screw drivers these days Helen, my body is telling me to slow down.
Wishing Mrs. K all the very best for her treatment. A friend in Australia. fell out of remission and went up to level 5 panic stations but about 7months later she is back down to minus 1. I hope your wife gets good results, it makes all those bad days worthwhile. What has Mrs K got on her bucket list, hope you both get to enjoy completing them. Could you do mine as well seeing as I am now bed bound for life.. Love to you both❤❤
@judithbeavis8449 thank you Judith, all she wants is the house in good order, a new bathroom is next and to replace the conservatory with a small extension.
@terrykingsallotmentgardening Terry, I am sure you are very capable of getting those jobs done, but please take a moment for yourself. Don't rush, you need to be able to look after Mrs K, she needs you to be strong for her. Pace life what with work, the plots, and the house. How about a few days away when you know Mre K should have some good days. It will do you both the world of good. If I knew at the start of 24 what life was going to be from last January and for the future, I would have had a few days going to my favourite places and seeing special people. Take care of both of you, all the best for Friday xx

Still bit to do terry but you're making great progress! Well done mate x ❤.
@fergusdangerfield156 I am enjoying my allotment at the moment and with the beast from the east coming it will be nice to get a few things completed.
Terry boy plant one of the onion family with your carrots to keep the fly away worked for the past 6 years
@michaellindsay1093 I will try that this season Michael, thank you.
@terrykingsallotmentgardening very welcome mate and for white rot then in winter add garlic water to your beds to confuse the virus
@@michaellindsay1093 I have 12 one litre bottles of garlic steeping ready to add to my old onion beds.
My allotment rent is just shy of £100 a year. The autumn fruiting raspberries (based on supermarket prices) cover that cost. The other crops are the profit, because the rhubarb, blackcurrants and gooseberries cover the cost of the manure and other costs. Nowadays with high council rents, I think you need soft fruit crops to make a plot profitable. That of course prices your labour at £0. But I see the allotment cheaper than the gym.
@andrewhead6267 totally agree Andrew, I am still eating crumbles and can't wait for the rhubarb so I can add the other berries that I have frozen to create more crumbles. £85 for my two plots and yes cheaper than the gym.
Hi Terry. Are you growing produce in every raised bed? Where are you going to grow the giant marrow? I'm amazed about how high you got carrot root fly. It must have used a pole vault lol. There's always lots to do on the plot. It's deciding what has priority. Good luck with the potato challenge😁👍. Terry 👍, Mrs K ❤️
With the situation that I am in at home I will keep it simple and several beds will be for the potato challenge and a giant potato for Malvern. The raspberry move has been very therapeutic Elaine and done in good time. Definitely the right time to move the raspberries.
Hi Terry, Is there a reason your compost especially the leaves are covered, our large leaf heap is out in the open. Nice to see you are all prepared right ready to go. I would love some raised beds as I struggle to bend down.
@a17des the cardboard does seem to help retain the moisture and protects the worms from the birds. Just my personal preference. I do struggle with my low beds so yes this will be good for the future.
it's all well and good giving yourself a long list of jobs to do the eye notices what needs doing when you get to the plot. all it takes is a break in then jobs are on hold. just take one day at a time and enjoy it, mate.................brian
@briansgardenandpolytunnel8172 a good reminder Brian, thank you.
You have so many projects going on-I wouldn't have the brain space for it. I do have a question: in your worm bucket that's in the raised bed-do you ever put in cardboard since they love it so? When I had indoor worms I always balanced the food scraps with newsprint or cardboard but that was mostly to keep it from getting too wet and giving the little beasts somewhere to hide as they seemed to love being inside the corrugated layer.
I want to try that this year with some of my larger beds.
@dianeladico1769 I use a cardboard lid and it soon breaks down so yes they do love it.
@@terrykingsallotmentgardening ty!
New subscriber, and new to the allotment style. Very interesting! We have a similar climate here on the west coast of Canada. Do you get slug issues there? Any tips?
@RillaofPlumHill yes slugs can be an issue, keeping everything tidy so they have nowhere to hide, dry coffee grounds around your plants, blended egg shells, beer traps are good, hand picking them from under bits of plastic we put out. Hope that helps my friends.
Garlic is looking good. Too early to add some blood meal? Zone 7 US. What do you think?
@JulesGardening I prefer to ensure the ground is well prepared and leave my plants to it Jules.
How high does a raised bed have to be to avoid the carrot root fly? I grew some in tall water barrels and they were still affected, best wishes, Lisa
@lisag9493 I do believe in my personal opinion they will get to our carrots whatever the height, we need to net them to help stop it.
When a friend of mine was getting her treatments, she called them her "spa days" - all the best to you Mrs K. Thanks Terry, nice to see things poking up out of the ground now. Couch grass is a swear word - blooming stuff! In our last house, the previous owners had a huge section of raspberries. One summer we had so much fruit that we were having it for breakfast, snack after lunch and more for dessert after dinner. I ended up getting covered in hives and was told to double dose the antihistamine tablets! Oh dearie me! Any spare now goes into the freezer!
@kerryl4031 reducing my fruit crops will make room for something else, and I can't wait for the rhubarb to start so I can add some of my frozen berries to make some nice crumbles.
@@terrykingsallotmentgardening Yum!
@kerryl4031 😋
