- Born Johnny Allen Hendrix on November 27th 1942, in Seattle, Jimi was later renamed James Marshall Hendrix, by his father. Widely recognized as one of the most creative and influential musicians of the 20th century, Jimi Hendrix pioneered the explosive possibilities of the electric guitar. Hendrix’s innovative style of combining fuzz, feedback, and controlled distortion created a new musical form. Because he was unable to read or write music, it is nothing short of remarkable that Jimi Hendrix’s meteoric rise in the music took place in just four short years. Though, in his short life, he didn't have enough time to become a full-on gear head, he did express his appreciation for fast cars as soon as he could afford them. I'm a 70s 80s kid ..so I recall the trans am vs Vette arugent ...around smokey and bandit time...maybe I'll mix up the spirit of bandit and Hendrix...anyways this video and info....is awesome...I love the 69 Vette silver one...the dune buggy is rad too.....anyways...bravo bravo to the maker of this TH-cam.....

Crashed in Hollywood hills..if you havent been there...many hairpin turns...windey road...i understand vette stijgrays..are known for straight away speed but handling...?? Not so much....anyways..hollywood hills.or any suburban hill community in so cal..la coujnty orange co.etc ..not the place tonpl play racecar driver....find your ass...upsise down.... in someones backyard after you went down the hill...missing a quick turn
Corvettes have independent rear suspension not a straight axle, for better handling in the twisties FYI
