Biathlon World Cup 2017-18 Östersund - Sprint - 1st place for Tarjei Bø

A long-awaited victory for Tarjei Bø after 4,5 years without a win - everybody in the Norwegian team was so happy for him as if he had won an Olympic relay for them. His example really makes you think about how many great biathletes retire prematurely after two-three unsuccessful years because they lose motivation and stop believing in themselves - Tarjei is the living proof that biathlon is still more about experience than youth and speed and if you have a phase where nothing works you need to keep you head up, keep training and believing in yourself and at some point it will pay off and success will come to you again.
He is competitive to the point of being unfair and even mean to his rivals sometimes, and for that he is disliked by a lot of people, but you have to admire his resilience and unwavering self-belief.
