Kindly crosscheck. once again let me explain it to you, commutator is used for the conversion of ac to dc and also from dc to ac, in case of dc motor's it is used to convert DC applied voltage into ac (changes polarity due to which current direction changes also polarity of pole changes with current direction) SO basically Question is about DC MOTOR and not DC Generator. Sir I have problem with qution no 1 As per qution working principle of dc motor is electromegnetic induction But here given answer FLR and as we all know FLR is used to determine of induced emf magnetic flux and direction of currunt so ? Pls explain
No ,, flemings left hand rule is used to determine direction of rotation Or simply we can say FLR is for DC motor & fleming's right hand rule for DC generator
Indeed, I have already explained this in the comment section. The answer which was explained is correct. It Convert DC to AC only in case of DC motor. Whatever you're saying is correct if it was a DC Generator but question is about Motor so we feed DC in rotor which converted into AC to have rotating action.
Herein question is related to DC Motor so the answer is correct i,e it converts DC to AC. Kindly go through the following explanation, On the fixed part of the motor, there are two brushes that carry the current. One is positive and the other is negative. These brushes carry direct current. The current always flows the same direction through these brushes. That’s the DC part of your question. These brushes press again the rotating part. Where they are touching the rotating part, there are many contacts around the circle. As the rotating part rotates, different contacts touch the brushes. That lets current flow through different parts of the rotating part from one brush through the rotating part and out to the other brush. Half a turn later, the two contacts that were touching the brushes one way will now be touching the brushes the other way. Current will flow through the rotating part in the opposite direction that it was flowing half a rotation early. The current in that part inside the rotating part keeps changing direction every half turn. So inside the rotating part, it’s seeing alternating current even though the brushes are providing direct current.
The answer which was explained is correct. It Convert DC to AC only in case of DC motor.
