Its so cute, they look so loved and well taken care of in a case. Im from eastern EU. In highschool i got a few pins from an antique store because they had happy slogans like "keep moving ahead" (in the science/industry domains and such) -not actually in english if course, it sounded so optimistic. Hope they wont disappear until i start collecting some, when i find the money and time. Love 😙
My soviet dad used to collect pins/badges when he was young . So thanks to him we have two hand towels filled with soviet pins 🥰
And some military medals from my grandpa (dads dad)

I love your content. I don’t agree politically but I love it. I love the flags. I’m very interested in Soviet culture and architecture and you’re basically the only channel that actually cure it. Thank you. Ps nice Moldova SSR flag in the background.
A note on the Yugoslavian pin (Specifically it's to an officer's cap of the JNA.) the specific style of twist on (I think that's what it's called I can't remember) continued to be replicated onto a vast majority of hat badges and insignia into the Yugoslav wars, I have multiple Croatian cap badges and due to it and the hats themselves not being very thick to accommodate the badge you always feel like you're being stabbed in the head when you put one on.

I just recently bought a Soviet Naval Flag! I love it!
They look amazing all put together comrade, you really inspire me to begin my own collection but maybe not just pins but military badges too but yeah they look awesome, Lenin would be proud of you.
My favourite video yet I think; probably because I share your love of pins. I wear mine as well and they live in a Georgian tea tin but I would love a display case like yours. As well as Soviet pins I have lots of Yugoslavia badges, a couple from Hungary, DDR, and Bulgaria. I like the Moscow News pin and I have bought the big one with all the flags a few days ago.

I really like the Mao one! Currently the only ones I have are basic the Coat of Arms hat badge two actually and then I have the same Hammer and Sickle Red Star hat badge you have

Hey cool collection. I dont really collect those, but still have two cases full of different pins, from all over the former Eastern Bloc. Hi, i have a couple of soviet pins (some for hats) and they have a symbol on the back. It looks like a peace sign (Y upside down with 3 legs). Is it fake? What does it mean?

How do you know if a Soviet pin is fake? I just bought the Little Octoberist, Young Pinner, Komsomol badge set and I think one is a fake
It’s usually obvious that the material is different, or maybe it feels too light. Granted pins from the 80s, real pins can also be really low quality. But it’s more of a tangible difference, and if you’ve felt a real one of the same kind you’d definitely know.
pins where mostly made in huge quantities so it's not really common to have fake ones, if we start talking about medals, badges and orders it's really diffirent tho

Sorry to have bounced from the livestream the other night. Pretty verklempt thinking about the fire. No loss of life or my own belongings, but the guy whose A/C lit up now lives in a garage at his work, and his elderly roommate was forced into a retirement -home- prison. It took almost two minutes for me to get the old fella out of there, and I worry about what the smoke inhalation did to him...I still remember the soot all around his mouth from breathing that shit.
Worse, I knew the A/C was poorly installed -- I could hear the fan chopping water for days -- but didn't say anything, "reasoning" that it would just cost them more in hydro or shorten the life of the A/C.
In short, I would have burned all my stuff on a pyre if I could have prevented this outcome. Sorry to be a downer.

At a yard sale I recently purchased a bag of military medals, WW2, made in Poland and Bulgaria in the 1940s. In the bag also were a number Soviet little lapel pins marked 15k showing the bust of Lenin. I know the evil Lenin brought to Russia. I sold the pins to a gold smith for the metal value. He added them to his ceramic melt dish. I watched him do this.
