I am a CA and learning Law to resolve family property issue. You lectures are really helpful. Although I had interpreated law appreatly but by listing to you its a dual confirmation. But I am not happy that you missed Sec 16, as it is critical from practical point of view.

But mam you have explained that when a Hindu male or a female wants to adopt a son he should not have a son, grandson, great grandson living at the time of adoption whether legitimate or illegitimate but in example you told that if the husband and wife have illegitimate child then they can adopt another son

You told that only one child can be adopted of the same sex thn how raveena tandon an actresses adopted two girl child?
A High Court ruling in September 2009 made it possible for Hindus to adopt two children of the same sex.
This is not allowed under the Hindu Adoption and Maintenance Act (HAMA) but Justice Chandrachud held that the Juvenile Justice Act, 2000, with a more secular approach towards the adoption of children in need of care and protection, prevailed over the HAMA.

Sir, when my doughter was 13 year old my brother and sister-in-law both adapted my doughter with the consent of me and my wife by performing the rituals of lingayat (hindu). My brother died during march 2018 and my sister-in-law registered the adaption deed on july 2018 when my doughter age was 17 year. Is it a valid adaption or not sir ?
Valid h ...because once adoption is done it can't be reversed

Yes. It is not essential for the people you are adopting from to be your relatives under this Act.

Kindly refer Sec 11 of the Act. Yes they can adopt a daughter.

As section 16 makes children legitimate.

Can single man adopt female child is it legal
