- ఎవరికైనా వారి ఊరుని గాని ప్రాంతాన్ని గాని విమర్శిస్తే బాధగానే ఉంటుంది. ఒక రోజు తేజస్వీ గారు మామూలుగా న్యూస్ పేపర్ చదువుతునప్పుడు ఒంగోలు, మన భారత దేశంలో అత్యంత తక్కువ అభివృద్ధి చెందిన ప్రాంతాలలో ఒక్కటి గా పరిగణింపబడటం గమనించారు. తాను పుట్టిన ఒంగోలు నగరం గురించి అలాంటి కథనం చూసి బాధపడ్డారు. కానీ ఆమె బాధపడుతూ కూర్చోలేదు. అసలు దానికి కారణం ఏంటో కనుక్కుందాం. దానిని ఎలా మార్చగలమో ప్రయత్నిద్దాం అని పూనుకున్నారు అలాగే ఆ ప్రయత్నంలో విజయం కూడా సాధించారు.. దీని వెనక అసలు కారణం ఏంటి అని తెలుసుకోవడానికి ప్రయత్నించగా శుభ్రత ముఖ్యమైన కారణం అని తెలుసుకున్నారు. మరి దీనిని మనం మార్చలేమా అన్న ప్రశ్న నుంచే భూమి ఫౌండేషన్ పుట్టింది. ప్రతి వారం ఒక్కొక్క చోటుని మార్చుకుంటూ వెళ్లారు. ఇవాళ తన సంస్థలో రెండు వేలమంది పైగా వాలంటీర్లు ఉన్నారు. ఆమె కృషి ఫలితంగా ఒంగోలుకి జోనల్ వారిగా నాల్గో స్థానం వచ్చింది, రెండు సార్లు ముఖ్యమంత్రి చేతుల మీదగా భూమి ఫౌండేషన్ తరపున అవార్డు అందుకున్నారు . ఇప్పుడు హైద్రాబాదులో తన సంస్థ సేవ మొదలుపెట్టారు. ఆమె నిజంగా మన అందరికీ ఆదర్శం.
It is tough to read a newspaper article that your city or place is one of the most underdeveloped in the country. Tejaswi Podapati encountered in such a situation that altered her life and the condition of Ongole. Tejaswi is a techie who belongs to Ongole. She took responsibility and started the Bhoomi foundation first at Ongole with some of her friends and relatives. Though most of the people she asked to join her refused she moved forward with optimism. They have started cleaning the filthiest park in Ongole and transformed it completely and painted their motto ‘one goal, clean Ongole’.They started receiving applause and praise for their work. From that day they never looked back and they began fixing one spot every week. She is one of those who actually took Swach Bharat Abhiyan to action and able to see the change. Her efforts paid off. Ongole city was announced as a poster-free city by the government of Andhra Pradesh. Bhoomi foundation was started also in Hyderabad. They received appreciation from Hyderabad IT minister KTR She shares the story through her Josh Talk.
