Update: We now have a better Germany map that is balanced well and which will be actively updated in the future. Please feel free to use this map instead of the one I show in the video as mine was just a temporary one (which I will probably delete at some point). The advantage about Germany is that there is very good signage overall. Might not be that helfpful with no moving but in moving rounds for sure. Also you have to learn the different counties (Landkreise in German) because they are written on every single of the yellow town entering signs.
Landkreis is municipality, counties are Bundesländer and Regierungsbezirke. But I agree, the signage is excellent, and it always annoys me if I have to guess in Latin America where there is not a single direction sign even on huge intersectioms. How did people before cellphones even know where they were going? You take one wrong exit and you will be lost forever! Also: Every little village in Germany has a town entry/exit sign and on the exit-side it will tell you the name of the next village.
@@jroemling Municipalities are Gemeinden, not Landkreise. The translation of county as Landkreis is pretty accurate I would say. Bundesländer are federal states or just states in english. And Regierungsbezirke dont really have an analogy in other countries but even in Germany they only exist in Bavaria, Hesse and NRW
@@elirome6978 you are right, sorry for confusing everybody! The people in Lülsfeld probably don’t go to Schweinfurt for their administrative errants, and it makes it even more complicated that Schweinfurt is a ”Kreisfreie Stadt”. I live in Sweden now and there the municipality is the same thing as a Landkreis and all of the villages out in the country have their local government in the central town, but there might even be a mayor of Lülsfeld.
Only bad thing is that it is easy to forget that Germany now has updated street view and that it can be confused with other countries if playing no moving. Luxembourg and Croatia was also due for on update until 2022 when it finally happened.
Yup! They have the same bollards I think (might be some minor differences).. I've also seen a few different poles in Germany.. Can't wait to click Latvia on Germany now
The northeast and northwest of germany has a flat landscape most of the time (because its close to the netherlands and the baltic sea/poland. The southern part has a lot of hills and mountains (Rothaargebirge, Alps, Rhön etc.)
Never expected both countries to have street view. Even one person was so shocked seeing the street view car in the most unexpected place ever. Seeing one is very rare, let alone expecting one in Germany. Then the official news came.
if u see vinyards its most likeley south west so not bavaria XD and the other option is between jena and leipzig there are some vinyards as well but compareable smaler area and lets be real east germany tentds to be left out XD red brick is middle to norht with increasing densit so the more red brick houses u see the more likeley u are verry north

Definitely the signage is really nice.. Gonna take a while to learn all the 400 or so Landkreise but should be worth it for sure

Oh totally haha.. I still sometimes forget that gen 4 Croatia exists.. It's going to take some time for this new German street view to sink in haha
Very exciting! I usually use street view to plan trips and stuff, so it's very useful^^
Same haha!! It's so useful and I totally want to visit Germany at some point in the near future
Overjoyed when I saw how filled in Germany is :))
The signage and bollards appear to be super similar/the same to Lux?
