I don't know how long you stayed in Sheki but there are certain things included its cuisine that you should try out. The traditional sweet called "Sheki halvası" was one of them but you tasted it at rather unpopular store. It's best made in "Halvaci Aliahmed" and "Halvaci Yahya". Their families is prominent making it for centuries. The second thing is "Piti". It's a traditional soup cooked with lamb meat, chick peas, chestnuts, onion, garlic, chestnuts, and tail fat put inside a ceramic pot, simmered in a low heat for around 7 hours. It's served with some spices such as sumac, red pepper powder, thyme, and mint powder. Just now come to think of it, Azerbaijan is not a Central Asian country, it's Caucasian and one of the transcontinental countries with the territory spanning on both Europe and Asia. Sheki, for instance, falls inside the European border.

Currently i live in poland but i love that you visited my town - Shaki You should have tried traditional shaki cuisine so called Piti (lamb broth) in any restaurant , it is best served in shaki

@@AwaywiththeSteiners That is terrific i don't like many things about Azerbaijan poor public transport , destroyed roads , all the money is concentrated in baku, but the food is sublime, never ate anything tastier than Azeri(Shaki) food. Authenticity of your impression of the food is precious.
