======== 82nd All The Way LYRICS =======
In the draft of 1917, a man from Tennessee
Overseas to the trenches he went, from the land of the free
Into war he brought two things along, a rifle and his faith
Join the ranks as a private, assigned to 338th
There on that day, Alvin York
Entered the fray
Saving the day
82nd all the way
Into the fires of hell, the Argonne, a hero to be
Entered the war from over the sea
Intervene, 1918, all the way from Tennessee
Hill 223
When his faith has been put to the test, the call to arms he heeds
On the 8th of October he went, made a sergeant for his deeds
Fearless, leading the raid of the war, machinegun on the hill
Charge the enemy taking the prisoners, by power of his will
There on that day, Sergeant York
Entered the fray
Saving the day
82nd all the way
What Sergeant York achieved that day
Would echo to the USA
It’s 82nd all the way
Death from above, what they now say
What Sergeant York achieved that day
Echoes from France to the USA
It’s 82nd All the way
Death from above, what they now say

Great to see that you're still updating past videos! Keep up the great work!
Whoever said money can't buy happiness, has never bought a Sabaton concert ticket.
Beast Neighbour 667 agreed. I saw them live in Vancouver last fall and honestly my only complaint was the show ended
Seen Sabaton 5 times. You are more correct than anyone has ever been.
Saw them once, GODLY EXPERIENCE
I have seen them Live Twice. I agree with this statement. The only bad part about seeing them live is when the performance has to end.
Can't agree more! Pure happiness 😃😃🤘
I came there faster than Joakim drank his beer

Wanna know what I love about Sabaton?
3:20
They mess around while playing, still make it absolutely amazing, and manage to keep their composure
Joakim was laughing while singing and kept on track after almost being hit in the nards. Great job! Another great song from a great concert (like all of them)
I agree. The fact that these guys are fcking around with each other while making such good music is nice to watch.
Nothing to serious in this band wich is good. I rather see them being theirselves on live stage then seeing them being serious because its live.
Agreed,not everyone can do this
One thing the number one thing I love about them it’s not the music it’s the effort they put out and how passionate and appreciative with there fans and they enjoy it this is the main reason why I love this band still have yet to buy a tour shirt and those camo pants that I can’t see
thomasqwerty101 probably is, I saw a live stage on sabaton where one of the guitarist tackle joakim on the floor and they were laughing and the both stuck the middle finger at each other and another one was from Poland where joakim blew out a condom and say “my polish friend this is not a ballon this is for fucking”
@@Chris09978 that was Woodstock 2012 in Warshaw ;)
He had to bring over the message about sexual education in Poland and how it could be made better, so ofc he is gonna joke around then
The beginning:
audience, yelling constantly "Another beer"
Joachim, drinks one
audience yells it again
yep, definitely Bavaria
was the same in Stuttgart tough and in any Geramn City Joakim dares to show his face ^^
Thats everywhere in germany
Oberhausen was like this too its just Germany
It’s become a thing that happens whenever Sabaton plays in Germany
@@angryscow5508 here In the netherlands when they have to take their pants of and put it on their head, so in Amsterdam he literally said when he drank his beer: "Klootzakken" (Dutch for morons / jerks), Tommy was so confused, so asked Joakim of what it means, Joakim said: "I think it means "cheers!" " so the audience said: YES YES YES
Tommy: KLOOTZAK
Audience: laughs their head off
Audience: BROEK UIT OP JE HOOFD, BROEK UIT OP JE HOOFD, BROEK UIT OP JE HOOFD, BROEK UIT OP JE HOOFD
i absolutly love sabaton i even bought a few cd's to listen to in the car my favourite band ever
Thank you for appreciating
Joakim shouting in German caught me off guard lmao
Imagine having the confidence to speak to that many people and also sing.
Took me a second to realize they said “Noch ein bier” and not “we love Ikea” 😂

Quién diría que en tiempos de Pandemia....
Las clases de Historia, se tornarian épicas... A nivel Sabaton.
Gotta love Sabaton's on-stage antics! Being in the mosh seeing them last year was one of the highlights of my life.
I love the banter they have on stage during songs and before.
Unglaublich, dass das Konzert schon mehr als 4 Monate zurückliegt!!! Die Erinnerung und Feelings sind noch voll da 😍😍😍
Es fühlt sich auch so an als wäre es noch März :D
Sabaton is the only channel that I click instantly when I see that they uploaded a video.
An awesome band doing an awesome song about an awesome man
Seeing Sabaton in Worcester last year was the highlight of my year...
They make playing in front of THAT size of a crowd look so effortless.
It was so wholesome to hear joakim laugh while singing the song
Noch ein Bier Noch ein Bier Noch ein Bier

If its possbile, you can go to the 82nd airborne museum memorial at Fort Bragg, NC. To get on base, you need to show ID and get a pass. It has exhibits pertaining to the 82nd from its formation in WW1 to the present. Plus, there is also the Airborne and Special Operations museum in neaby Fayetteville, NC.

Schlagermetal - wusste gar nicht, dass es sowas gibt! :O
My Uncle Bob went to fight the Nazi’s and my Uncle John went to fight the Japs!!! It boils my blood to see those 2 countries even exist
I'm going to see them in Cincinnati on Oct.8th, praying they play this song because not only will it be the 8th, but because it's one of my favorites and everyone in the region - including myself - loves Alvin York!
Joakim and Tommy are just too wholesome 😂😂
Was there, was awesome!!! Cant wait for the next time!!!
Wandefull ☺☺☺
I'm looking forward to seeing you this coming October in Connecticut.
Класс
Joakim gets drunk bevor he can start the concert🤣🤣🤣
We’re you drunk while writing this comment ?( I’m just messing)

Proud to be swedish ☺️
Alvin York would be amazed that a heroic song about him capturing 132 German soldiers was sung to the grandchildren of those German soldiers....in Germany.
This was my last concert before the pandemic. It was epic!
NOCH EIN BIER!!
I know is much to ask for, but there are many good stories of bulgarians like Odrin or the Shipka battle where Bulgarian soldiers throw dead comrades, it would be very cool if you cover some of them.

Sorry for the bad English!😔😔
They finally corrected it *single tear*

A crowd of German cheering to a song about a American soldier kicking German soldiers butts. But in all seriousness it’s a awesome song.

2:28 oof Joakim said 328 instead of 338 but it don’t matter mistakes happen at least in the music video it said 338
328th is correct. 338th is a mistake they made with the studio version and have since corrected. Not that hard to look it up yourself.

I just discovered Sabaton 3 days ago, and in that short period of time they've gone from a band "I should check out" to probably the best rock band on Planet Earth. For me, a history fanatic and a fan of rock and roll Sabaton is perfect.
They are power metal but okay
@@RuskiWaffle As Billy Joel once said, "It's still Rock & Roll to me." :-)
welcome man
@@RuskiWaffle Metal is a sub-section of rock and roll.
same dude, I found the Red Baron and holy hell sabaton’s music is amazing
The time in Muinch (befor Covid 19) was a increadible...
And about all:It was a " Great Tour"
Covid 19- Hello!
Swedish band in Germany speaking English, singing about an American hero who killed dozens of Germans. So much here
One world👍
Kinda ironic...
XD
And singing about Canadian man 😂
And After that singing about the red Baron a german fighter Pilot who gained over 80 Aerial victorys XD
@William Hultg Francis Pegahmagabow (A Ghost in the Trenches) was Canadian, he might be talking about that
I showed this song to my dad recently and I think it blew his mind just a little 😂 He is:
a career army NCO
a vet of both the 82nd and 101st
the grandson of Swedes who immigrated to the US
a lifelong history buff
Plus he spent five years living an hour from where Alvin York grew up. Being able to share something that brings together so much of his past with my own love of metal was really special for both of us.
Thanks, Sabaton, for doing what you do!
My sincere respect to your Dad. He SERVED.
When you go to a German city to sing songs that are half the time about people fighting germans
So what. We still got Ghost Division. Lmao
Germans lost but won at the same time XD
Yes! And we love our ghost division, our bismarck, our red barron and of course our panzers 😊🤘

@@PhilipFry. Well I don't want to get into a controversed subject but couldn't we put Hearts of Iron to that? Since it's about an act of ultimate heroism made by the german 12th army? Mad respect to Walther Wenck.
You always hear someone talking about Sabaton saying they glorify war. Yet they listen to songs about Drugs, Murder, adultery, etc
Guy's, Sabaton is about the men, women and children on both sides who fought and died for their countries, Sabaton cares more about these people than the Governments of their countries.
Sabaton are the best. Cheers guys :)
Their more pro soldier and anti war
Sabaton’s message: Support the soldiers. Oppose the wars.
Clearly they’ve never listened to an entire song.
And you can’t forget that they’re just a bunch of goofs
true
In Munich singing about Sgt. Alvin York - there's a decent chance (whether they know it or not) at least 1 person in that crowd's family was affected by Alvin York going all hardcore in WWI. Crazy to think about.
He got the balls to sing this in Germany
AATW!
They also sang Primo Victoria in Germany on this tour
@@Raivo_Melnis I wanted to say the same. As a person from germany I have to say that what they did in the past is in the past and has nothing to do with the germans today. Why do people still think every german is a nazi?
@@Raivo_Melnis Its a joke/observation. the joke is that, ignoring the nazi party, its still germany, and seargent york kicked a german division ass. thats the joke its nothing much :P
@@svenjas5731 The USA today is way closer to Nazis than Germany is now. Modern Germans understand the Nazis were out and out wrong.
What other band can play a song about an American soldier, decorated for killing Germans, in a stadium full of Germans and get applauded for it??
"NEIN, KEIN BIER MEHR!" I'm dead hahahahahahaha lmao
The phrase: NOCH EIN BIER was invented in Munich and the phrase kein bier mehr doesn't exist here
What does it mean?
@@the24thcolossusjustchillin39 It means "No more beer" if i can guess
I got a list on Spotify called *My Favourite Songs of Sabaton*, I added every song I found
I made a playlist here on yt of my favorite Sabaton songs. It’s now my favorite metal songs, but basically every Sabaton song is on there.
It’s got over 2k views
Yeah I went through every album and tried to pick my favourites, wound up with basically all of them
I like most, exept shotgun, a little too, how do I say it chaotic
Same
The top reason why I like sabaton the most from all bands I listen
Amazing music
Great stories behind their music
The fact that all sabaton members are fcking with each other while on life stage (in short terms: not to serious with good humor)
Anyone else anxiously waiting for Sabaton each Saturday? Definitely the best part of the weekend!!
Easily the best part of any weekend is sabaton
No one calls me out,so I said:I will fucking live until Saturday, than I can do what I must.I live until next Saturday and so on
NOCH EIN BIEEEER
NEIN! KEIN BIER MEHR!
Jaaa bieeeeer
@Monkey Phil Ja, Noch ein Bier!

EX DAS BIER!
Ok TH-cam, quit spying on me.first I watch sergeant york, the 1940's gary cooper movie about Alvin york and now sabaton with 82nd all the way? Lockdown still stinks as a whole but Saturdays will always be great!
CHEERS!
It do be like that tho.. I know its just a cold unfeeling algorithm but its almost like it *cares about me*
That show was brutal! We marched there as men and came out as a big family! We were sweaty, had no voice and saw Sabaton live!
Dont forget everyone humming swedish pagans while Walking out
Was lovely! Hard to find a parking space, all merch almost gone when we finally got in, but as bad as it started, the greater it ended, my favorite moment was when hordes of happy drunken people left the building, all cheering and singing:D
Ghost in the trenches live when?
Probably the cruise
Would love that. Edit: or maybe the End of the war to end all wars live
If they ever return to Canada, they need to play Ghost in the Trenches
Edit: wow my spelling is awful
