Losing Luciano Pavarotti, I did not believe in my lifetime the world could produce another of those miracle voices... usually every 60 to 80 years.....
He just preformed a song worthy of kings in a living room.

@@abezierkje6938 Yes, I do agree with your opinion on the comparison between Jonathan and Pavarotti, who has what I consider to be THE greatest opera tenor voice of all times. But I feel that Jonathan is still young and growing as an artist too, and hopefully he will have a long and prosperous future and improve even more with age. I only wish that he could/would lose some weight while he is still young - for his personal health reasons only! Talent, imo, has nothing to do with a person’s age, appearance, race, religion, sexual preference (i.e. Elton John) - but ONLY that they have the ability to perform with the love, passion, and emotion that they themselves have in order to reach those who hear them!

I have a dear friend who has thyroid problem since she was young until lately after watching TH-cam program from dr Jason Fung and dr Neal Barnard, she then followed a good doctor diet program besides prescription medication over a year she is healed now, she lost over 100 pounds and much more energy, healthy. I am very happy for her to regain her health. By the way her diet is very simple: soup/ salad without carb. I hope this info is helpful for those may need it.

With that in mind can you even imagine what it must have been like to be confronted with the fact of your own greatness yet, feel the unimaginable wgt of nothingness upon your shoulders. To contemplate the emergence of such rich talent (beyond measure, really)!
So few of us ever have such noble dreams...but what if they COULD come true.
Then the harsh reality of the kind of sacrifice involved in the pursuit of such a high calling...not having a life where one can just pick up and pretend to melt into a crowd undiscovered.
Does anyone even realize the heaviness of the harness he is wearing? Where one craves a day where the splendid tedium of sitting for an interview, being fitted for gentleman's attire for one's personal
wardrobe, meeting a sponsor for a luncheon, attending an evening affair not because you want to or because you have an affinity for a particular chef but, because it has been scheduled FOR you! Plans are made to support your favorite charity and you must show up!
Does anyone realize what this level of success entails?
Some of us think of these things Mr. Antoine and we understand your level of sacrifice and want you to know how much we ALL appreciate

He hit that high note without struggling, his voice is a gift from God, I always cry when he sings this song and that high note gives me the goosebumps every time he sings it!

Obviously he has an amazing voice.... and there is something more here that makes this so amazing... I feel that his humility allows him to transcend singers who are "performing" an aria... he BECOMES the aria. The way he is so wrapped up in appreciation of the interlude when the chorus comes in -- he's not "waiting" for his chance to reenter the music as the center of attention, he is fully experiencing every part of the music, with joy.

Last week on December 10 & 17 2022 I had a chance to see Jonathan live performance at Los Angeles Walt Disney Concert Hall. It was almost 3 hr drive for me but it worth driving to LA to see him.. In real life, he is a tall big & handsome young man and he brought down the whole house when he started singing. What’s an amazing experience with an incredible unbelievable voice as Simon Cowell said 10 yrs ago. I don't think there are words to describe how magnificent he is when he sings. Jonathan is very unique in every way. His sound is so rich, very powerful and full of emotion. Jonathan Antoine is truly a GIFT, an amazing artist!

@@danieldutton9770 We've been to 3 different concerts of his, and each one was BEAUTIFUL!!! He sings different songs at each concert, but everything he sings is Fantastic! His voice is even more warm, rich and powerful in person. We were in LA for the concert on the 17th, he received a standing ovation after every song! People travel from around the world to attend his concerts which are more like an event. He has the audience in the palm of his hand the moment he steps on stage. We drove from WA state, others from Denver CO, and from Arizona and some flew in from from the UK and other countries.

I have listened to many, many singers doing Nessun Dorma, male and female, and not many can nail the Vincero at the end.

I think that he has such an incredible ability to feel and understand the music, that he had no choice but to become an embodiment of it.
You see a lot of singers performing, and half of them can’t even remember the words to their hit songs, sound terrible live, and get boring after 6 months. Then there’s someone like this who obviously received some kind of incredible gift… such that it just leaves you in awe.

Antoine the Resonant captivates us beginning to end, no matter the genre. With this performance, he is indisputably at the summit of technical ability. But that is only a small part of his appeal. His humanity and humility are an example to all of us. He is the high point of my day.

I wanted to listen to some Pavarotti tonight, and, as TH-cam is wont to do, suggestions kept coming up. I think I listened to at least 7 different "Nessun Dorma" recordings (besides Pavarotti), half not even worth finishing the video. Until this one. This one gave me chills at how amazing he sounds! Plus he looks so overjoyed, in a way that only someone who has music speaking to their soul can look. I had never heard of Jonathan Antoine before (I don't watch shows like the Voice). Now, I keep adding him to my "watch later" --which means 30 seconds after the previous video ends! Bravissimo!

@@19822andy well, Bocelli, in my opinion, he was already at Pavarotti’s level in terms of vocal and ability while he was alive. He could’ve used more training at the time but he was amazing.
My opera knowledge is slim but I know that Pavarotti wasn't even the best of his era or it was very debatable at least.
At least I haven't listened to Nessun Dorma a few times and started to make unsubstantial claims about the subject.

Did you ever know you’d feel the joy you were going to feel or the confidence you were going to have when you were in high school? I can see both so clearly in your countenance these days. . Everyone has a gift. It may not be as famous as yours, but I hope all teens understand that the social trials of school experiences are temporary, and will gradually fall away as their gifts grow to maturity and bless everyone around them. Back in time, when I first saw Jonathan in BGT I commented a video saying that It'd be wonderful to hear him singing Nessun Dorma. An "expert" commented that his voice wouldn't fit that song. What a slap in her face!! I hope she had the privilege to hear this Gift to the World. Thank you Jonathan for that marvelous gift.
Whoever you are referring to as an "expert" I am sure he/she meant he doesn't have the required operatic voice which allows him to sing Turandot/Nessun dorma on stage during an operatic performance. Judging from the rendition above that is true. Yet, he has his own style of singing and found his audience who are pleased with what he is doing.

At 73 I have been listening to this for 70 years. Great job Jonathan. Your voice has become so much stronger, deeper and the emotion certainly shows. BRAVO
I listened to this back to back with Pavarotti. JA made me weep. So much more feeling in his signing, it's so beautiful.
I did the same. There were some comments above saying he's not as good as Pavarotti so I listened to the same song sung by both. I didn't get any emotion listening to/watching Pavarotti and I specifically decided to compare the very last bit which is my favourite. Pavarotti sounded like he was going through the motions (he's a singer; he was at work). Jonathan sounded like he was exposing his soul. Or rather, it's exploding out of him, like he can't keep it in; it's that powerful.
This kid has the voice of an angel and he is only getting better with age. God is allowing us to hear a little piece of heaven while we are still on Earth.

All things considered, a truly GREAT and outstanding performance and interpretation of Nessun Dorma! What I really like about Jonathan Antoine's interpretation is that he never loses touch with his tenderness of vocal expression and maintains a good measure of vocal serenity and control throughout the performance. In other words, his rendition is not at all bombastic, and he doesn't attempt to just blast his way through the whole thing - he maintains a true sensitivity of vocal expression throughout.
He has such an amazing voice. I cant think of anyone better then him. ❤ his voice.
I could listen to Jonathan a thousand times...sheer GOD given talent and the charm and innocence of an angelic being...I repeat...THE BEST EVER...hands down

There is a wonderful video from 2010, of Jonathan singing Ava Maria in a Church, when he was just 15 years old. That video has over 5 million views. lo Si was filmed in that same church.
