true any RUSH fan will know this is BS and i have met both the brothers and brought up Rush and all they said is there a great band that did it a little different!
Actually, they CAN ban whoever they want. Whenever a band is playing at an arena, or wherever, the headliner “technically” owns the place for the amount of time specified in their stipulations. You know how bands issue backstage passes, and that sort of thing? The laws covering property rights / rental and lease agreements… which I’m assuming are the same laws that govern temporary ownership / residency or the arena that gives the bands the power to black list certain individuals in the first place. The band and their manager gets to decide who gets to be backstage, and who doesn’t. And who is allowed entrance as ticket holders. There could be a stalker who they believe poses a real threat that they don’t want to allow inside I don’t know how well I explained that. But I do know that is a thing how each headliner is the temporary owner of the facility. And they ARE responsible for damages and ordinance violations as well… I remember when Cinderella played just up the road from my house in Morgantown, WV at the WVU Mountaineer Coliseum in 1989. I was only in the 6th grade at the time, but I do remember hearing all about how that went down. Apparently, Cinderella was pushing around 140-150 decibels, which is well over the average 110-120 decibels. Rather than play their 2 hour set, they extended it to over 3 hours By the end of the set, Cinderella was met backstage by city ordinance officials who cited the band for violating the living shit out of every possible noise ordinance, as well as curfew violation. And if that wasn’t enough, Cinderella was also issued a LIFETIME BAN from playing the coliseum, or any other WVU facility over that. I’ve talked to a few people over the years who were at that show and they said it was EXCRUCIATINGLY LOUD. Like, it was badass… at the same time they said it was too fucking much 😆😆😆😆
You are grossly misinformed. Alex and Ed were both classicly trained concert pianists and were both accomplished by the time they were like 7 years of age. Over 1000 kids. The contests would progress. 1000 down to 100. Both brothers would still be in it. From 100 down to 10. Both of them still in it. In the end it was always Alex or Ed that won, with the other placing second. Both of them were prodigies. Alex played a very important role in his brothers ascension to legend. A role he was content to serve in. Just because he did not try to eclipse his little brother in any way, does not mean he was not exceptional. According to the RIAA Rush sold 42 million albums and managed 5 #1 hit singles. Van Halen by way of comparison, sold 56 million albums and notched 13 #1 hit singles. The word “Professional” in its purest form defines a person who is extraordinarily successful. The facts dictate who were the professionals here.
@@IRNHYD While extraordinary success, such as high sales numbers or numerous hit singles, can be indicators of professionalism, they are not the sole determinants. Being a professional involves more than just commercial success. Competence and Skill: A professional is expected to have a high level of competence and skill in their field. This is not necessarily linked to commercial success. For example, there can be highly skilled musicians who may not have high album sales. Ethical Standards: Professionals adhere to certain ethical standards and codes of conduct. This includes professionalism in behaviour, integrity, and respect for others in their field in and out of the limelight. Consistency and Reliability: Being a professional also means being consistent and reliable in one's work. This includes meeting deadlines, maintaining quality, and being dependable. Continual Improvement: Professionals often engage in continual learning and improvement in their field, staying updated with new developments and improving their skills. Reputation Among Peers: Professionalism can also be measured by the respect and reputation one has among peers in the industry, which might not always correlate with commercial success. VH failed in Ethical Standards, Consistency and Reliability and Reputation Among Peers albeit the latter is small.

Not letting a band into your show is ordinary. Petty and ordinary if it happened at all. It does not sound very Rush like.
That's not the way I've heard it. RUSH had finished their show and had bought out the lounge and VH crashed the party. RUSH, being the mild-mannered trio that they were, invited VH in and Geddy was playing a RUSH tape for Eddie and he proceeded to pour his drink into the tape machine. That's why RUSH wanted nothing to do with VH after that. You managed to gloss over that part. Eddie was an innovator of guitar but, he was still a drunken fool.

Geddy wouldn’t put Alex VH as drummer for a new group. Geddy had THE BEST drummer. If he’s gonna play with another, Alex VH just doesn’t have the talent Geddy is used to.
Note to self..... don't click on another story from this guy
I like RUSH better.
Bad taste.
@@JohnDoe-hq7yg LOL.
@@JohnDoe-hq7yg : Oh yeah, lets hear Eddie play Broon's Bane or Alex play like the unreal Neil Peart....
Let’s hear Peart play the part of an accomplished, classicly trained concert pianist, by the age of 7… as both Ed and Alex were. Just because Alex did not try to seize power in the band (as peart did in Rush) doesn’t mean Alex was incapable. I’d wager that Alex could do anything Peart did, drum wise
@@IRNHYD : I guarantee any one of RUSH could emulate Alex or Eddie's "classical" training; and I'm NOT even a RUSH fan.
They're both awesome bands
I can’t believe how both bands were able to overcome this adversity & still manage to have successful careers after these events occurred! 😂
Look at their careers. Rush was the consummate professionals spanning almost 50 years. As much as loved VH.. professional has a different meaning.
@@IRNHYD RUSH were also from Canada. Because of that, that’s one reason why they didn’t get any MTV airplay, whereas Van Halen DID. They were also from right there in the heart of it all
RUSH were never “edgy” nor controversial, and their songs require some thinking in order to “get” them… Van Halen songs… not so much. All people cared about anyways was the guitar anyways, so there was no need for Van Halen to get super elaborate with their arrangements, key changes, and time signatures
There IS a correlation with intelligence and the music people mostly listen to… and most people, especially Americans, are belligerent fucking IDIOTS
How do you think AC/DC got to be so “successful”? Their songs don’t take much intellectual effort in order to understand them and like them. Van Halen songs take a little more intellect… and RUSH is intellectual man’s rock
And THAT is the reason for those numbers
😂waste of time
wish we could hear a Lee, Lifeson and AVH album. It would be different from Rush or VH
let's not and put these dinosaurs into the earth for good.
I just think that EVH had an issue with people finally realizing just how much of an obvious influence Lifeson had on Eddies playing.
Hahahhahaha there’s no fucking way geddy and Alex would ever consider that slack on drums
alex VH replace neil ??? LOL Ha Ha Ha !!! 2Funny.... He's not even half the drummer Neil is...
Geddy is above dealing like that with the likes of DLR and the VH brothers.
RUSH doenst even drink a lot, and RUSH isnt competitive. RUSH is RUSH! oh and Alex joining them to make a super band WTF? he did say anything to me about that whan i hung out with him and talked about RUSH. fake ass story
Bruh…there is literally a Rush Beer now!
,,, Maybe he didn't say anything because you have no need to know. Or lack discretion. Or have problems running straight business? Why would you not tell him that you were thinking about starting a supergroup with some ultra top-shelf talent that would likely be huge? QED
Alex likes to pound beers. geddy, not so much.
Dude, what childish behavior among grown men🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Lol. I grew up with these bands and love them both. 'Superband' with Alex...Peart's a better drummer, and I'm a heavy fan of Van Halen, the original band. With Eddie and Neil leaving us behind, that would be an interesting tour to happen 2025. Would love to see a greatest hit Rush tour, with Alex pounding the skins.
Rock legend? Really. No green M&M’s is legend, Hendrix putting acid in his head band is legend, the Who having to pull a drummer out of the crowd because Keith Moon had passed out on Qualudes, That’s legendary.
Two words for this video; Shite!
What's the second word?
Shite!
Unwatchable ... jumps around too much.
This was stupid. Thumbs down. Anyone who knows or knows of the guys in Rush, they are decent to a fault. This story was just lameness hyped up to garner views. Screw this crap. I can tell we have *no* *idea* what actually happened.
why should Lee & Lifeson "deny" every piece of bs that gets out there? anyone with a brain knew that a line-up with the Van Halen drummer was b.s.
Just wondering if there is anyone else with a story besides David.
Van Halen was just an overrated hair band one trick pony finger tapping pony with mediocre songs
Rush continues to enjoy success? They haven’t been a band for years mate.
Another AI channel added to the "don't recommend" list.
BTW, Eddie was a complete A-hole and hardly anyone not in Van Halen could stand him.
Yes, it's possible, as the bands shared the same manager, Ray Danniels, but it's not possible to believe that the bands shared the same lifestyle.
AI crap narration
It was the roadies from each band that started the trouble. Geddy lee would never start a super group any way.
What a non-story. Just like being back at school. You get on with some, not others. So
I thought that this was a myth and never happened - just a rumour. Well I guess it did after all!
Biggest waste of two minutes I’ve had on the Internet in a long, long, long time
Jesus this narrator is boring , too much repetitive lead up
Well, that was a giant nothing burger. 🙄
Blocking this AI channel.
I love love love stories filled with repetitive fluff❤
what did Geddy say that pissed EVH off?
Is this an AI generated story and narration?
Thanks for the advice, clicking off
Don't sound right Rush is not a party band🤔
Well that answered nothing
Oh how cool it would be to see Alex playing Rush songs. He could do it because he’s that good of a drummer. But you can never “Replace“ Neil.
Alex couldn't play the vast majority of rush songs.. not even the simpler ones.
Replace? Pffft. He might be able to polish The Professor's shoes.
@@listenup7284
It seems some snobby Rush fans don't feel that Alex has the chops. Neil was great, but if Alex wasn't up to the task, I don't believe Geddy and Alex L would've ever talked to him to begin with.
@@srmurc6zo6Exactly. It would be the Alex style honoring Neil for sure.
@@srmurc6zo6 Alex van Halen was great but nothing technical on the level of Neil peart. Working man is the only song I could see him playing because that was pre Neil but even then I'm not sure. I love his drumming but he could never even in his prime. Today he is old and selling all his gear. Has no desire to play.
what a load of ¢rap
His real name is Gary Weinrib, lol
And this is how to ruin a story using AI
AI generated BS
I call bullshit on this story
