My routine was like this: -630-7:15: yoga with breathing -Morning 7:30 before work : 20 min breathing -8-4 : office work. In between when I can, I used to do 2-3 min exercises. -4:00-4:30 : dance -5:00-6:30- walk in the parks -7:00-8:00 relaxation and meditation -8:00-9:00 Dystonia specific exercises -9:30 sleep When you do this, you’ll automatically remember to do them even when you did not specify a time for an activity. It becomes natural eventually.
My father has the same problem, He is after every known hospital related to this. This condition looks very easy and normal but the person who is going through this condition knows the real struggle and pain. He recently had his 4 Botox shot, as you told the effectiveness of BOTOX is only good for first few times, and after that you need to slowly increase the shot and it practically doesn’t work out life long, every doctor (either neuro or ophthalmologist) is not completely aware of this condition as it was not as regualar conditions. I will show your daily processes and exercises to my father. It takes many guts for a girl to come infront of the camera and let other people suffering from this know and help them with some tips and process, so that they can be relieved, you have really kind and big heart, really really appreciate for that.
This is all new to me. I had my first shots last week and my doctor said to wait 7 - 14 days to see if I needed more. Nothing changed and he gave me another injection yesterday. It's only been a day but I do see a little improvement this morning. Thank you for sharing your story. I will check the exercises out now to help me. I'm glad I watched your video. Fingers crossed.
You are a brave woman. You have studied these symptoms very minutely. When it happened to me I couldn't know why I am facing problems in breathing? Why my brain is always heavy?I was losing my hope but your video is very helpful like Ray of light in darkness you are a inspiration for blepharospasm patients .Always try to relax is a good technique and effective and you are lucky for getting a caring husband thank you and keep it up 😊❤
Hari Om I’m able to study the condition with minute details because of the meditation. It helped me go to the depths of my brain and heal myself. Hope you get better too 🙏🏻
Hi. So you do recommend botox for some support? I have been doing eye and eyelid exercises. But have not seen much improvement. Do you think botox and exercises together will help ?
Eye and eye lid exercises along with meditation and deep OM breathing is the key. I took Botox because I need to support myself with every day chores which all came to a halt. But I also kept competing myself against Botox and kept up with the meditation and exercises because after a certain time, Botox wears off. And after a point, Botox stops working so the dosage needs to go up. Overall its not a complete cure. I need to depend on it for life. Botox helped me realize that I can open eyes. All I focused on with Botox was practicing on opening eyes. This was like crutches for a handicapped person. So yes. I took its support to start opening eyes at my will and moving eyeballs when I needed to.
Sorry for asking too many questions, but it’s better to get input from a person who knows the struggle. I find it difficult to open my eyes especially while walking, sometimes walking even at home or doing housework. I need to lift my eyebrow up with my fingers to open. So if I take botox, and continue with meditation and eye / eyelid exercises , will it help. I can stop taking botox later if I see a difference with exercises , right? I think you have also stopped taking botox now and just managing with the exercises.
I can feel your struggle because I was there. Yes. Botox helps with your everyday activities. But understand that it will wear off in 10 days the first time. And you’ve to go back for more Botox. Also don’t forget to continue to work on your meditation and deep breathing to calm yourself. Yes. I stopped my Botox now. My last Botox was in August 2021.
So sincere and cute, you did an excellent fight at all levels. I will take my fifth botox shot in the morning. It helps a lot but only with work on body and soul. Stay strong and good luck. 🌱☀️🙏
@@blepharospasm-myjourney See when I was taking regularly total .75mg I was lethargic. After 2 shots of botox with four months gap now I take half of .25 mg and some days .25 mg full. But although doctor asked for regular taking i purposely skip sometimes.Even with low dose i get fatigue and body pain for a few hours.Botox did not really help much.I still had to take pills every 4/5 days. Now seeing your videos i am trying exercises and feel it is helpful.
I took some anti depressant pills when I was diagnosed of Dystonia in the early stages. I’m an active person physically and mentally but these pills changed my world making me feel tired, fatigue kicked in and dizzy always and as a result I became pathetic. And I could see it. I discontinued them in 2 months. I trusted my body, which is Gods making to heal by itself and started meditation and yoga and waited for the results with patience.
Did you get droopy eyelids after your injections(ptosis)? On my second Injection the doc choose a bigger amount of botox and i had droopy eyelids for about three weeks.
