    Right on point Lance. I would just like to add the "Don't buy this bike until you've watched this" videos. Same difference, they just want clicks and subs. Then you have the guys who ride like a mad man through the trails and sidewalks and streets. They can't tell you anything abut the bike. Just pop a wheelie, put it on a thumbnail and put it out. They never use it for practical purposes. Great video. I'm behind you all the way

      Your exactly right. And that's why we have the AB 530 trying to be passed here in California, because of the bad actors and of course the money grab. I believe reviewers have responsibility to tell the truth about whatever bike they are reviewing, good or bad. The safety of a rider who is relying information provided in a review could be hanging in the balance. Have a great week my friend.

    I have a Radrover 6+ step through and am very happy with it. It's not the fastest and that's fine as I'm not in a rush these days. lol

      I like the power delivery of the Radrover 6. Its smooth and not jerky.

    Some of these ebike reviewers that get ebikes for free only talk about the good selling points and not the bad because they get paid whenever someone purchases these ebikes using their discount code. On another ebike review channel the reviewer was reviewing an ANIIOKI A8 Pro max 52v 60ah ebike. I pointed out the fact that a replacement 48v battery cost $1099 and the 52v cost $1299. That's what someone would have to pay for a new battery if it dies after the warranty expires. I also mentioned that the components looked like the same 7 speed Shimano shifter and derailer that even budget ebikes have. He basically resorted to name calling and how he knows more about ebikes than me. I just said he was acting like a commissioned used car salesman. Another reviewer who actually purchased his A8 pro max and used it for a while gave an honest review and listed every detail about the ebike in a 5 minute video. People commented about similar problems they were having with their ebikes but not many positives about it. I think the reviewer I was having a heated discussion with deletes all the negative comments on his reviews because most of his comments were praising him for the great reviews he's doing. Most people who are going to spend $1000+ on an ebike probably would want to know what components series, hydraulic brake brand, gear set ratios and other details like possible problems they might experience with it.

      I have the same left side mirror on my Engwe Engine Pro. I got this ebike for range and mostly ride in eco mode at 15mph max.

      @theridewithlance  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, I have watched my fair share of review videos that just read specs, show pictures of the bike and then do a tiny bit of riding and give it glowing a review. It should be the other way around. Do a lot of riding and show viewers the actual experiences good or bad.

      @theridewithlance  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I get no vibration from my mirrors and can see clearly when riding. Only draw back is if the bike fall over on and hits the bar end and breaks the mirror. I just got to try harder not to crash. LOL

    Lance thank you for doing this very important video. I will shamefully admit that when I purchased my first E bike a couple of months ago I watched all of these hot shots going 30+ miles an hour down these paths and I just thought that's how you are supposed to ride these things. Well, the first time I took my brand new zebra down a tight path I crashed going 25 miles an hour and almost killed myself. I had multiple serious injuries and I was laid up for six weeks. Thank God I got through that and I am back on my bike and I have realized I am very happy cruising 12 to 15 miles an hour in a very safe way. These guys really need to be careful because I know there are others that have been or will be injured because of their lack of responsibility.

    • @theridewithlance
      @theridewithlance  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I am happy you are okay now. That must have been some spill you took. Yes, people need to realize that even though some of these bikes are featured as off road bikes, they are still limited to what they can actually do, and that message needs to be conveyed better in review videos. They need to think about rider safety before profit.

      @theridewithlance  ปีที่แล้ว

      Are you sure your replaying to the right video? I am not talking about a crash in this video. If you are referring to my video titled " I Took A Fall" I did take 100% full responsibility of the fall, and even said so in the video. @mikey3372

    So, I have a similar perspective as you. I ride rad power bikes. On my bike trails in my city, going more than 20 miles an hour while sharing the road with pedestrians, dog walkers, kids, and other cyclists begins to get really dangerous. Even riding at 20 mph , a lot of times I have to slow down and just respect the other people on the path. What’s going to end up happening If we’re not careful is that these jackasses who ride 30 miles an hour on bike paths are going to get E bikes banned on them. There is a reason why there are three classes of E bikes, and a reason why a lot of manufacturers only make class 1’s or 2’s.

      You are right. They need to go after the bad actors and not the ebiking community as a whole.

    I don't agree with the man's review of the Radrover. It has plenty of power, top speed of 24-25 mph and is ruggedly built.

    • @theridewithlance
      @theridewithlance  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes it is. I have riding mine really rough with no issues. 24-25 is plenty speed.

  • @moonshotsilver

    I've got the step over and like it a lot. I'm thinking of getting the step thru in the sale as we need a 2nd bike. It would also give me more range on a solo ride if I took the other battery with me.
    It's a lot of money for us to fork out though so I'll need to think about it. Especially with the modifications I like, Tannus tire liners etc

    • @theridewithlance
      @theridewithlance  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, wait for the sales. I see Rad starting to put the step throughs on sale, no as much a discount as the high step,but every little bit helps.

    I am more interested in how far and can the bike handle hills. I live in the edge of a mountain range.

    My only quibble is I wish it had a 20AH battery instead of the 17.5AH, a little more travel time would be nice.

    • @Joerides7
      @Joerides7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Range is important to me. I hope they improve that in the near future. I'd like a realistic range of 100 miles, with the ability to push that farther on lower assist levels.

    • @theridewithlance
      @theridewithlance  ปีที่แล้ว

      That would be nice.

    I have the zebra st, same handle bars and same accessories bar. I agree with the himi mirrors and low speed in a park setting but faster capabilities is always better. Not that you use it all the time but because u can when u want. I had a rad and it sucked. Zebras have pedal/throttle delay which sucks.

    • @theridewithlance
      @theridewithlance  ปีที่แล้ว

      We have both the Rad and Himiway, and I enjoy them both. I agree on the pedal delay on the Zebra. Takes a few rotations then kicks in pretty strong.

    • @DeMoNFLiP84
      @DeMoNFLiP84 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@theridewithlance i had that same issue too with the PAS until i saw a video on how to ease the power on PAS1 throttled. By going to the Parameter Settings under "SCA 2" then apply your number of pedal assist you want then on the next screen of "X - 1_20" you should lower the number to 10. then hold i to save the settings. You should have a smooth boost on throttle. Reference video - th-cam.com/video/cDu6qtnTWxo/w-d-xo.html

    This is the reason why I don’t like the reviews on e-bikes and other things because people don’t use the products like they’re supposed to and when something goes wrong they say it’s bad and and don’t buy it I’ve been looking to get into e-bikes but alotta these reviews aren’t really helpful and the only reason why an e-bike should go 28 or more is to keep up with traffic but people shouldn’t be trying to ride e-bikes like motorcycles

  • @Trillville43
    @Trillville43 ปีที่แล้ว

    They are saying anything below 30mph is to slow or once you get used to that speed now they want something faster.

    • @theridewithlance
      @theridewithlance  ปีที่แล้ว

      If it doesnt do 28 out of the box, its too slow. Thats the message I am starting to see.
