New sub, due to your hip hop knowledge, and that you get it…these girls are different. Can’t wait to see you react to tape 1. Harvey gets in her bag in that one and I promise it will surprise you. Looking forward to more. These girls pay homage to the old school and I appreciate it! I got hooked on rap somewhere around 1981, I was 11 and my parents were driving to church and a song came on the radio and I was hooked ever since. That song was The Message but Gramd master flash and the furious five. I have watched rap revolve through the years, and I have never been as excited as I am about these girls.

Loving watching you go through the tapes... XG is certainly a rap powerhouse. Remember their Executive Producer (Simon - JAKOPS) put this group together with a plan. And I think that plan was to give something for everyone to love. They obviously appeal to old-school hip hop heads, through their writing and references. Don't let anyone tell you the girls don't write, we know from behind the scenes footage, and interviews that while they have writers, including some from studios in Atlanta which explains a lot, the girls contribute to the writing process and even have writing credits on some of the tracks.
But the girls are also amazing singers and dancers, which I'm sure you'll see in the future. They appeal to pop fans, R&B fans, dance music fans... and honestly, just fans of good music in general.
Enjoy your rabbit hole, I'm here for it. After you finish the 4 Tapes, there is a rap track with Cocona and Maya called "Show you can" that was recorded for a Korean dance TV show called "Street Woman Fighter"... that track belongs with the other tapes as the showcase for their raps.
The VOX series is the individual singers flexing, and the MOVE series is the girls showing off their dance crew abilities.
Then obviously you have all of their major releases, which all have MVs, and cover a huge spectrum of genres.

tape 2 is always a good listen. enjoyed the react too!! the Tapes series is the 4 rappers and the VOX series is the 3 Vocalists. the Vocals also bring a great amount of nostalgic vibes as well. if you go into the VOXs you may want to start with #6 then #5 then 1,2,3. that will get you a showcase of the 3 artists in 5 and 6, a duet in #1 then 3 solos in 2,3 and 4. if you like. thanks for the react

And relive it I did! When you talked about switching languages it is incredibly hard but they do it so seamlessly and the fact that it’s three languages English, Japanese, and Korean it is just like Ez Mill. There are artists why try to switch up languages but it’s not as smooth as Ez or XG. I would say take a break from the next TAPES because listening to their other songs not only gives a lot of context to their other TAPES but it also keeps things fresh. So yeah give a listen to SHOOTING STAR and LEFT RIGHT before you hop into TAPE 3a and 3b

Maya is my personal bias. There just something about her precision. She's surgical with her flow.
Jurin has NEVER not delivered. Every single time. I don't think she misses. Bars, for, swag on 1k. True leader vibes.
