This is correct. All mobs will recognize trapdoors as full blocks, so, if a trapdoor is open and falls into a pit, mobs will walk over it and into said pit.

In Zombie's AI, they can't and don't jump, they only AUTO JUMP, which means that they will only jump over a block that's blocking it's path OR go around it, so I think the one with the lava pit and the villager trapped on the center, shouldn't have any points subtracted, + 10 pts. at the end. Edit: they will only jump if they can't get up something that has an opening to jump in, they won't be able to jump in lava.

The AI coding of hostile mobs make them go the closest way to their prey, so the zombie would always choose the shorter path, even if it is dangerous.
