Thanks mate I enjoyed this longer version of this video, thanks. Me and my wife visited here a few years ago, loved it, need to go back. We stayed at the Saracen’s Head, highly recommended 👍
Loved the story .The Legend of Gelert first time I heard the story was about 55 years ago .Pass through Beddgelert a lot in the summer. Pass there soon, I hope trying to get some footage of the zip line
The village of Beddgelert is stunning in welsh the dd is actually th and is Bethgelert .the truth is this story was made up by local traders sometime ago in the attempt to lure Snowden’s visitors to their village.the name actually refers to Gelert a sixth century saint from the area.real enjoyed the drone footage as usual .....
Yes Ken I read that it was created by the first landlord of the one of the pubs, The Royal Goat I think, that he created the story to drive more people to the town. Very clever if it’s true but I still prefer the legend 👍🏻
@@misterdroneuk your right I prefer the legend .still a lovely place what ever the story ..keep up the good work and thanks for shearing your footage ..
Well done with the drone footage makes for great watching however, the story of Gelert is straight out of an antique Jackanory, curtesy of the the then owner of the Goat Hotel David Pritchard in the early 1800s who created the story of the slain hound c/w fake burial plot to lure in naïve Victorian visitors to Beddgelert, which continues to this day ......
Great video, me and my missus are staying in Beddgelert in November, is special place to us both, I visited there with a mate on our motorcycles many years ago, on the way to the trail that leads to Gelerts grave I caught site of my missus, we have been together ever since. Thank god she likes motorbikes. 😊😊😊😊😉😉😉 Oh, forgot to say, we are both long suffering Evertonian's too. We both watch all your videos, especially the Bramley Moore Dock Stadium Build. Awesome. COYB 💙💙💙💙
