Then hide waap album(mark it). After that waap photos will not show up,with other in gallery.Thats the best solution I think.And after some time just delete trash from that album

Looks like everybody in this comment section is braindead. I have to reply to you because i think there is no way to make files not saveable to your gallery, you can just hide it from your eyes, but the files still exist.... this is what i found out today, looks like whatsapp removed the option so it can frustrate users. Since whatsapp is same owner as messinger( aka zuckeberg robot boy) its not strange for me because they also removed some options on messinger without telling their users.

My brother, i found it by myself. Go to 3 dots, settings, storage and data, put all 3 options to never download. Now every file you want to download you download personally. You are welcome
